I’m glad to hear people are getting the dates changed. It seems to be an independent process now. My date just updated to June today. I haven’t installed an update of any kind in a few months. Ford seems to have changed the date to an ignition cycle count and it checks for a date update now. You have to have an active ford pass account.

So I think for some that had trucks they picked up and we’re out of date when they got the truck the lapse was due to not having an active ford pass account when the date change happened. You still need to have your gateway updated to the latest version for it to work. It can come from me or the dealer can install it if they are willing. After Ford can then update the date from their end.

So I think they are now trying to be an ahead of the curve with the expiration dates. I do hope they get better and people don’t have to go through a hassle to be able to use BC.

None the less you should start to see another date change to 10-6-23 soon.

Im on 22082, revision 411, but map date of 10/09/2022. Truck was built in August, just picked it up Monday. Activated truck in fordpass Monday as well, along with setting update schedule to every day at 2am. I dont have an urgent need for hands-free BC at this point anyway, and it sounds like manual update is a bit of a chore. Seems my best approach is to wait it out a bit?

You probably need the gateway update I mentioned. Your gateway has to be updated and at the most current version. Send your vin and I can tell you if it is

Hi there,

I have tried to update my Sync on my tremor 2022 through the dealer but unfortunately they said there were an errors shown.
Can anyone help me to find out if I do need to update my sync4 or not.

I just noticed youre in the ME.. There is an issue with the update for ME customers.

They most likely got a USB 3 error or USB 0

Ford still hasnt fixed it for whatever reason

I don’t know if this will work properly or not. Am not a technician person this is why am not sure if other country’s update will work perfectly in the ME production.

I‘ll wait few days if nothing shows up, I’ll definitely let you know.

The update failed because you manually installed the update via USB and they sent it OTA. So when it went to install the OTA it was already installed. SO it failed.

Received the 3.5.2 update (I think for a second time since owning the truck) earlier this week and yesterday noticed the map updated from December to April. Truck drove me home last night.
