Hello All,

So apparently, there is a BFG shortage and backorder...date TBD. So with the '22 about ready to go, I am looking at options. My '21 had BFG Ko2, in fact, I have always run that tire. Most of my driving is on road, so these are just for looks more or less. Leaning towards the Toyo AT3 based on another post.

Here are some options I have seen. Votes or advice would be appreciated.

Nitto Terra G2
Pro COmp AT Sport
Toyo AT 3
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss

There is really a tire shortage not just BFG, to be honest BFG has been one of the options that has actually been available. So it really depends on what you can find.

My top choice is Toyo ATIII

other tops in no particular order
Nitto Terra
Nitto Ridge
Falken AT3

Running the ATIII myself and am a big fan of them. The Falken AT3 is also a great tire and one I almost went with.

We run the KO2s on my wife's jeep and I much prefer the ATIII.

I’ve had many BFGs on many different vehicles. Great tire other than it throwing weights and needing to be rebalanced. That’s a big problem with BFG and Baja Boss. They usually take a lot of weight to balance. They other issue with BFG is they don’t make a P rated tire for 20” wheels and because the F150 rides so well, the last thing I wanted to do was put a D rated tire (or worse…E rated) on the truck and hurt the MPG as well as the power. Unsprung weight kills MPG and ride. I currently have Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my 2017 F150 Platinum. I bought them when they first came out and after 40k miles on them, they still look great and appears I can get another 20k miles (the picture showing the tire is with around 40k miles on them). Nitro’s newest tire is the Recon Grappler. Check it out. You can get 34’s that are P rated. Regarding my 2017, I currently have a little over 67k miles and have averaged 19.8 MPG for the life of the vehicle. It’s loaded with the 3.5 EB and was the first in the lineup to get the 10 spd transmission. Will be hard to let it go next week when my 2022 gets delivered. If you want to drop down to a 17” wheel, BFG makes a 35” P rated tire specifically for the Raptor.

Responded to your email but looks like almost everything mentioned above, asside from BFG is available.
Thanks Frank! I am reading through all of them and trying to decide. I think the AT3 or one of the Nitto's. BFG's have always done me well, but who knows how long the backorder will be.

I’ve had BFG and loved them but seems like it’s tough to find anyone with anything bad to say about Toyo AT3.

I’ve had great experiences with cooper and the BFG. The Ridge grapplers are a bad ass looking but I prefer the above.

If you’re doing mostly on road, The ford spec General grabber might be a good choice. If they’re your size.

the Goodyear territory MT has a c load in the bronco or Silverado size and would be a good choice.

I am running the new Goodyear MT in the tread b Silverado spec, zr2 33”.
I Have a AB comparison to a bfg at ko2
Good ride, better mpg, more aggressive looks.
