I know the PVD rims look nice but after a few years, the rims chip and peel even when taken care of. I would like to have 20-inch rims for the Lariet that are like those on a Platinum. Just an opinion of mine. I hope everyone is staying safe!

I agree, they look great from a distance. Close up, not so much!

Sorry I don't have any suggestions, thought others may relay options they have pursued.

Powder coat may last longer.
Really depends on where you are.
If you’re in a state that salts roads, get a set of steel wheels for winter

Or pick up a set from a scrap yard. I got a set of 2010 Ford rims from a guy who sold his truck the buyer was coming back for the rims but never did, so he put them on a buy and sell. I got them for $300.00 and they have fit my used 2006 & 2011 F 150's as well as my 2021. They look like crap and beat to s$&t but saves my PVD's.

When I had my truck ceramic coated, they also did the rims (removed and coated the interior too). Seven months in, and they still look new up close. Since the interior of the rim is ceramic coated, it doesn't hold dirt and brake dust much at all.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
I live in Dallas, Texas. My wheel experience is as follows: Chrome-over time it will flake on the rim, then quit holding air.
Aluminum-My best experiences.

PVD-Now have a set on an F150. I figure it cannot possibly be as bad as Chrome, but time will tell.

Keep in mind chrome and pvd are very similar. It’s the process that’s the most different. PVD chrome is a thin, high-shine, powder-coated film that looks like chrome but has many advantages. PVD stands for physical vapor deposition, a process that involves vaporizing a solid material in a vacuum chamber and then depositing it onto a surface. Chrome is a liquid dip process
