The design of SDHQ is tough as hell. The brackets are absolutely beastly. I wouldn't have any issues going through a car wash with them, but I also lifted my truck during the same time. So me fitting through a car wash with -19 wheels and 12 wides wasn't something I wanted to find out.
Yeah I wouldn't figure you'd wanna find out. Lol.
I'd love to put a bar in front bumper like I did my last truck tucked away and looks like it's supposed to be there but kind of scared to start cutting . I mean I guess it is just plastic and I could buy more but still nerve racking on a brand new truck

The ss5 sport driving basically turn the sun on. It’s so much light at a huge distance. I love mine. I also got the ditch 3’s in sport dual lens but haven’t installed them.
I haven’t even perfectly aimed them yet and I’m more than happy.
I did need to modify the drivers side bracket due to an extra bolt that wasn’t accounted for in the bracket design.
You have output pics? Would love to see the way the SS5’s look. Which ditch light brackets did you go with?

Think deer and hog here in Texas and drive slower.
Im rural So. Texas.
This is the best advice.
Im also a low beam (and halogen) driver.
Longer range on the headlights, and the temptation to go faster is there, also the false impression that you can see them coming.

Slowing down and focusing beyond the beams and off to the sides and you will see them, or at least their sparkely beady eyes.

Hell, I’m slowing or stopping 100 yards out of my driveway to let them get across.

Everyone in the family and most all neighbors has been struck by deer at one point or another and I’d rather be hit by one as opposed to hitting one.

And, it is pretty impressive the damage a hog or two (never just one) can do to virtually anything. They can deactivate a semi with no trouble at all.

Put out some deer crossing signs so they know where to cross and where not to cross. Simple as that.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
I got my first buck, a 6 pointer, in my 1967 Ford Falcon. I should have had it mounted. Only problem was that I was in college, paying my way through, and driving a 67 Ford Falcon. This was about 1972. Not much foresight in those days, particularly when I exhibited all the characteristics of broke. But it would sure be fun to have that rack today.

Good lighting and visibility are great but the time I creamed one would’ve happened in broad daylight

Sometimes I swear they want to commit suicide

The output is amazing. I wouldn’t want anymore than this.

I’ll see if I can get any good night images.
Those look great. I'd also like to see night time output pictures. Did you use the DD provided switch or something else? I'm thinking about ss5 amber (unsure on lens) and using a garmin power switch.

I've been traveling for the last few weeks in some fairly remote state parks. I am coming across deer, bear, etc, every drive. I often see 0-1 cars on a 30 minute drive in the current place I am at. I am wondering what sort of lighting mods would be best for this scenario.

I already have the OEM projectors with glare free and dynamic bending. They are great, but I think some more light both further out and into the ditches would help for these remote roads. Thoughts?
You have enough lights. Good driving, being alert, being aware, no pone, etc. Is all you need. Good news, all of this free.

I live in the boonies. See deer year round. Never hit one because i am paying attention. And i have never even owned a vehicle with LED lights.

Dont rely on technology as a crutch.

I have Baja designs on my Bronco. I will look to add something to the 24 KR but not sure what’s available yet
