Bed Rail Cap Removal for Dust Sealing for Topper/Camper

Hi All. I have been reading about the dust that can come up and through the bed rail plastic caps on the top sides of the bed. I have perused a bunch of youtube videos. I was wondering if the instructions are similar to older f150/superduty models where you use a hook tool to depress each clip as you lift up the bed rails seems? Thanks!

Any info on how to take them off without breaking the clips would be much appreciated!

I'm in the process of trying to do this with my 2025 F150 Tremor. I've lifted a few clips on the bed rail without breaking them but the ones near the bulkhead I can't figure how to get to. I also haven't been able to get the Christmas Tree clips. Argh

Did you ever figure out a way besides prepping them up, sealing, and then adding new replacements?

Hey. Let me see if I can upload some pictures of the cover face up so you can see the clips, it's mirror image on both sides.

I ended up buying a roll of 3M Aluminum Foil Tape 3340 off amazon as you can cut and curve this material over the rounded edges. And then slit the areas where the positioning tabs would go.

For the outer lips on the bed rail covers, I added a thin rubber gasket to prevent dirt & water from easily getting up and over the bed rails. Not so much it would push hard but enough to cover the 1/8" gap between the plastic cover and the sealed bed rails.

Here's a quick picture of what I did.
