BC 1.4 over air update?

Now the question is will they not send the update to those with a trial and only to those that are on a paid subscription? That would seem a bad strategy if they want us to pay when the trial ends, but worse decisions have been made before.

Mine is on a 3yr trial and I'm getting the notification that BC1.4 is ready to install, for the past week. I think my crappy battery is why it's failing. I'm swapping it out for the larger H8, like others have done.

Same for me. Mine won't install. Ford Pass lady said it came back as battery state of charge, but I put a new H7 (it's a PB) and have it on a NOCO 10 and it still won't go through. I'm wondering if the auxiliary battery is perhaps causing an issue at this point.

That’s great to hear! I haven’t even gotten to the point of ready to install yet, but at least I know it’s possible.

So dumb question, but I’m new to this over the air stuff and have to ask. Will it not download with the truck running in park?

The software downloaded fine. It is the install that is giving me issues. I believe some updates can be updated while running, but this is not one. It requires the vehicle to be off and it can be "down" for up to 95 minutes

I just got off the phone with them and she told me the same thing. Told me to take it to the dealer and let them do a batt diag and perform updates, since she sees that it has been trying for like 2 weeks straight.

I can't imagine the dealerships will be happy about OTA problems. I don't think Ford lets them warranty that kind of thing.

Also, mine has been trying since last weekend. I have been trying all sorts of things to get it to go, but it just doesn't happen.

Same. I even left it connected to the charger and it still wouldn't update. If there diagnostics fail, then that's a warranty claim, as far as I concerned and the dealer should be reimbursed. I've also got like 2 other small items they can address while it's with them.

Are you both on Early Access program? Still waiting to hear if any non early-access trucks have started getting 1.4 OTA.

Yeah, that definitely changed. My '23 was picked up in Sep 2023. Good through Sep 2026.

This must be the year you bought it not the model year. I bought a 21 in 2022 and got three years

I know this has been broached on here, but I’m still confused, so going to ask if and when a Blue Cruise 1.4 will be released over the air? I bought a used 2023 Platinum FX4 PB and it looks to still have another full year on the 3 year plan from the previous owner.

Searching it seems the 1.4 has been out for at least a year now and the truck is still at 1.0. I must say the 1.0 is very underwhelming, but what is said to come with 1.4 seems to address many of the issues I have with the 1.0. If there isn’t an OA update coming, I’m surely not going to pay after this years plan passes. You’d think they would push that out quickly to keep people engaged to renew? 1.0 is barely a party trick and not worth paying what they want to renew. Any help for the new guy on if and when this is coming?

Is it enabled? IIRC, you can turn that on or off in the settings.

I still haven’t gotten the update on my 23 platinum yet. That’s a big part of the upgrade. Has to be frustrating after waiting so long for that.
