I have about 4,000 miles left on my 36k warranty. For the past 2 years I would get “deep sleep mode for battery preservation” notifications on my app. They would come and go and would usually resolve itself after longer drives. The past 3 months I get them just about every week even after long drives. Has anyone had any luck getting the battery replaced under factory warranty?

There has been many people that have warrentied their battery. You will have to take it to the dealer to do so and they will test the battery and either approve it or not. But most people just replace the battery with another brand. One to not deal with the dealer and two the motorcraft batteries seem to have issues.

Go to Walmart and get rid of the MC battery.

I just had my battery replaced under the basic warranty at 19,000 miles. Battery was at 45% and several things stopped working. Approach lights, door locking interior lights etc.

I went to the dealer to have my battery checked due to a sync message, and they ended up replacing all three (Tremor PP2KW) under warranty after running some Ford extended battery diagnostic. Apparently the aux batteries were failing at and pulling down the voltage on the main battery until it couldn’t keep up.

I was planning to replace the main battery with an Odyssey battery, so this ended up saving me a lot. Truck runs better as a result. No more issues. If you’re under warranty, you might as well use it.

Mine was replaced once under warranty about 18 months ago. When I complained about the messages and the "Shutting down to preserve battery power" error they did their grand "Rotunda test" and said there was nothing wrong. So they must not be able to warranty but one battery per vehicle. If they would specify and purchase better quality batteries perhaps from another supplier and pay a few dollers each more they would not have problems and unhappy owners! Or they could purchase batteries with the producer company's on them and let them deal with all the failure claims! It's simple. an H6 battery is NOT sufficient for this vehicle! Yes it will scrape-by for a little while before failing, hopefully long enough for Ford to get out of the warranty period.

I just had my battery tested by the dealer. My truck has 26K miles. They replaced it for free.

My 2022 PB XLT came with a H7 with 800 CCA. So far I haven't had any problems with it.

Where are the other two batteries located?
