Banned?

When someone gets banned from this site for being a douchebag, is the ban generally permanent, or is it usually a vacation? Asking for a friend...

It just depends on what they did. Usually a warning is sent first but not all the time.

It should say time frame of ban.

Tell them not to make another account because they could get banned forever if they are not already.

No, it's not that. I'm not actually asking for a friend, I was using that term humorously. Someone has recently shown up as banned, and I'm wondering for how long it might be. Longer the better in my opinion.
