Nice! Glad I could help in some way. I am getting SO much info from this site, my little salt and pepper contributions to the mountains of steaks and potatoes dont compare, but Im glad you got more volume. I no longer have to fade-to-back to get equal\immersive sound.
Yeah, so much valuable information on this site by so many generous knowledgeable people. My results are the same. I can now easily adjust the fader to the middle of the cab and it is a much more immersive sound.

I finally have all the bits and pieces to install the JL amp and 2 6 3/4 Kicker speakers in my rear doors for my B&O Unleashed. (Thank you all)

One more question...... Crutchfield mentions that I'll need to trim the inside of my speaker grills (OEM door grills?) for the speakers to fit?

From the directions, I can tell that there'll be some trim ring tab removal.

Did anybody need to trim the inside of the B&O speaker grill for the rear doors?

Between kids and eclipses, I hope to install this all in the next few days! lol

No need to trim anything on the stock speaker grills when adding the JL C2 650x speakers. They do require an adapter ring, which has some tabs on it that you need to remove.

I'm not familiar with the kickers you are installing. But if it has a tall protrusion from the surface you may need to trim the grill. Crutchfield is about 99.9% on target of everything so if they say something has to be trimmed it probably does. Hopefully they have a video or a walk-through of what and where things need to be trimmed for those speakers.

@rpold150 He bought different speakers than what we used.

It seems as though a couple other people have done the install as well.

If anyone else is planning on doing it, a YouTube tutorial or taking pictures at different steps throughout the process would be immensely useful in taking on this project.

Anyways thanks for the post.

I spent almost $5,000 on my set up and my rear door speakers still sound so muffled. Set consists of Hertz cpx 165's, Hertz Cpx 690's, Hertz Tweeters. 2 JL 10" tw3 in MTI behind the seat box. JL RD400/4 for components and a JL1500/1 for subs. Running the pac audio Ap4-FD31. Can anyone help? I lost faith in my audio store here in Delaware. I didnt spend all that money to hear they are fillers. Thanks in advance!
