Maybe someone will have some insight on this…

I have a ‘22 with the B&O 8 speaker system

The other day just heard a pop/screech from the speakers when starting the truck

I realized that my stereo is not functioning correctly

When messing with the balance/fade, I found the following:

Pic 1 - Sounds ‘off’
Pic 2 - Only sound from Left tweeter and sub
Pic 3 - Same as above Pic 2
Pic 4 - Sound from entire right side
Pic 5 - Low sound from right side and sub

Stereo or Surround sound mode does not affect the above

Ive had this happen 2xs to me on my 23. Each time it has gone away after shutting off truck for a few minutes/parking. Quick power off and back on didn't fix.
I believe it has something to do with Carplay (i only use wireless - refuse to use cable) - like it doesn't fully connect, and it messes up the audio processing? IDK, but its super aggravating, when the BO system sounds worse than normal LOL

This happens to mine sporadically. Ford claimed they would send a field service engineer to look at it during my last dealer visit but then never actually sent the engineer. Dealer can’t figure it out on its own.

I had the same problem, 4 times.

First one was last summer. It was deafening. Problem fixed itself after a day or so. The other day it happened again, I booked a service appointment, but it rectified right after it was shut off. I called the dealer, and they said to bring it in if I can immediately if it happens again.

It did it 2 more times since, Last one today... I was on the way to the dealer, and it started working, after I went from Sirius XM to FM. Not sure if that is what made it work again, or just a fluke. I hope it will be something that they just fix, and not be a hassle.

I've had my 2023 Lariat PB about a month and also have a strange problem where effectively the right rear speaker is near dead and the back speakers in total are almost no sound compared to the front. Dealer updated the DSP and declared it “resolved” but it actually didn’t change anything. If you fade from front to back does the sound level drop off significantly?

If I fade the audio to the left side I get very VERY minimal sound out of the left tweeter and that’s it, nothing form the door speakers

You said: If I fade the audio to the left side I get very VERY minimal sound out of the left tweeter and that’s it, nothing form the door speakers

And I’m saying that can’t be the way the system was designed to work. There should be sound coming out of speakers no matter where the balance/fade is set. But mine is totally silent if set to back-left.

I'm having the same problem with my 24 ranger. Have you found the solution for the problem? I've had mine in the shop 6 times now and the dealer says that's the way ford designed them.
