Automatic software updates DON’T work!

Hey everyone,
I have tried so many times to update the truck in my driveway. It’s connected to my WiFi and even displays that the update will start in a few seconds seconds.

Every morning I find that it didn’t work again. Driving me absolutely nuts. I would love to use the new trailer cam feature while driving.

My 21 has only received 1 update via Wifi and that was a week ago. All the rest are via cell connection. Have you asked anyone on here why the update failed? I have a 5 amp Noco maintainer connect to my truck as Low Battery is a common reason for it to fail. As you know, Ford's battery are crap and cause a lot of issues.

If you have the 360 cam, you can hit the camera button while driving and it will actually show the trailer you’re pulling for peace of mind. Before the update it says that this feature is not available for safety reasons.

Either way I try it doesn’t work. I had my battery replaced 3 weeks after taking delivery of the truck and haven’t had issues in the last two years.

I didn't get any updates for 18 months and this week I got two. What changed? I have been charging my battery full with a Noco Genius 10. Make sure your battery has a high enough state of charge (SOC) to receive updates.

The update changed some setting in the as built. You need Forscan to correct it. Not a big deal. OB2 link to a PC and Forscan. Check https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/posts/434243/ for what needs to be changed.

Exactly what @KTM753 said.
You have to charge your battery.
Max it out and then change your auto update to 5 mins after you unplug the charger.

I believe it’s the tailgate cam but I don’t really know until I get this update done. It’s very frustrating
