I have a 2021 Lariat Powerboost with the trailer mirrors and am getting ready to order a 2026 Lariat Powerboost and trying to decide if I need the trailer mirrors or not. Other than a raft or drift boat I don’t really tow so I was leaning towards just getting the regular mirrors. However, I’m a big fan of the bottom section of the tow mirror when I’m backing up in to a parking spot. On my old Ram 1500 I had the option to have the mirrors auto tilt down when in reverse so I could see parking stripes, etc but even after looking through the manual I can’t tell if this is an option with the F150.

I’m looking at getting the Lariat HIgh package in case that makes a difference. Anyone have some insight here?

My regular mirrors on my 21 are/appear to be a bit smaller than the ones that were on my 13. lariat. I think you will be disappointed in the smaller mirror, I am.

I love the tow mirrors and, like you, use the lower section for parking. I'd get the "elephant ears" even if I could get auto-tilting smaller ones.

You can jerry-rig tilting mirrors by setting them that way and assigning the Driver 3 button to that setting.

I use the cameras to park.
I'm trying to learn how to do that better, but after years with never having had a backup camera I haven't quite gotten the knack of it yet, so I usually fall back on the tow mirrors.

Get the tow mirrors and if you really don’t like them. People cell stock mirrors all the time for way less than tow mirrors.

I dedicated one of my three mirror/seat/steering wheel memory buttons (if you have them) to parking - it tilts the side mirrors down while leaving the seat and wheel in their default positions. That said, I rarely use it because the overhead camera view (if you have it) makes parking a breeze.

This is a great point. Much easier to switch this way if I want and much cheaper to include the Tow mirrors in the build rather than after the fact.

My main thinking on going smaller is both a narrower truck for driving around town and potentially better mpg due to less drag. But per usual, I'm probably over thinking it and it is a minimal impact.

If you get the 360-degree camera option, a mirror tilt feature would be completely unnecessary.
I hear you although I have 360 on my current truck and find I still use my mirrors more often than the camera. Old habits die hard I guess. ;)

I only tow during the summer months so I have both tow mirrors and stock mirrors that I swap out.

Have you noticed any mpg difference between the two?

I'm interested in this, too. The consensus response seems to be about 1 MPG, but I'd love to hear any other data points
