Are the tires that come on the 20 inch Bap rims more of a street tire then an a/t tire?

Haven’t looked at any trucks with the bap plus with 20 inch rims but I have a feeling they are probably more of a street tire then a/t which isn’t good in the winter around here.If they are more of a street tire wonder if my dealer would swap them when the truck comes in if I pay the difference for a tire I would want.

Compare tread pattern. Factory ATs are pretty mild. Dealer will happily install new tires at actual cost -- wouldn't expect any consideration for what is now a used tire. Consider siping them.

I have the 20" rims that came with the black STX package. The stock tires on them were awful in winter weather. I'm not sure how they're allowed to call those "A/T". I believe they were hankook dynapro 2, but it was a much different tread pattern than what you would see on the hankook dynapro 2's from a tire shop and their website. Swapped those out with Falken Wildpeaks pretty quick. Lost 1-2 MPG but gained actual snow traction.

I just replaced the hankooks at2s on my 24 platinum PB with 34" Nitto Recon Grapplers. Agree those stock hankooks would not be adequate for Iowa weather. Dealer would not give me anything for them but Discount Tire gave me $50 each towards the new tires. Not great but better than nothing. Saw some people trying to sell similar tires on FB for $100/tire. They were not selling.

OEM tires are garbage, but if you buy the same tires from Discount, they have a better side wall, tread pattern, etc. and lasts me 50-55K miles.
