Hey guys was under the truck today and saw this hanging down underneath the truck.
Very rear, center, looks like it might share the same harness as the tow\trailer plug.
At the very least it should have a cap over it I would think?

My OCD is urging me to go outside and check my truck for this. I have a vague recollection of seeing something like this. I think I taped it up to seal it.

Looks to be plugged into the harness.
I will venture to guess it is a seal to prevent intrusion into the harness.
It will be sealed up within the connector and no need for a cap.

Looks like it would be the wiring for the ProTrailer/yaw sensor (plug below the 7-pin) on at least all 2021's, may have been deleted on 22-23, also if you don't have the ProTrailer backup assist you definatly didn't get this.

Not sure if it is replaced with a 4-pin trailer connector on trucks with out or what, but basically a universal harness, so you have a plug that goes to a feature you don't have. so they just cap it and tape it up.

I do have the Pro Trailer Backup Assist.... matter of fact all that other wiring is still in the plastic bag it came with....
Ill look at that bag and see if the plugs match up.... Still should have been sealed at the factory.

Looks like you were shorted the connector in the bumper…
