You’re going to have to find out what harness you have and it will tell you what options you have for tailights inverter or not. Then you need to look up the new harness rl3z13a409 and find what last letter matches your trucks needs. Find the one that has the same tailights options inverter or not and add the lighting package

After comparing the as-built configurations I determined that my 2025 XLT 302a having the RL3T-13A409-BBE harness requires replacement with the RL3T-13A409-BEE which is part number rl3z13a409e

Then you just need the two OEM pigtails, switch, and lights to compete the install along with the 3 FORSCAN changes.

My local dealer sourced the harness from a neighboring state and the installation was a 2/10 in difficulty mostly because I couldn't find my trim tool and I said a naughty word or two while digging through my tool boxes.
A couple of questions if you have the time:

1. I received my wiring harness finally from Ford Parts #RL3T-13A409-BEF, does the picture of the plastic piece install behind the Pro Power cover in the back of the bed?

2. If this does interface with the Pro Power- do I need to disconnect the main battery terminal before installing it? Do I need to disconnect any of the battery terminals before installing the wiring harness? If you have answers I would be grateful. Thank you

I want to thank everyone for all of the great info in this thread. I am super frugal so I haven’t decided yet if I want to get the new tail light harness or build my own. I will update everyone if I go the OEM route with what harness I have and what harness I needed.

That part clips on the drivers side at the very end of the bed right before your tail light wires go up

Thank you so much for your response. I guess I didn't see it- maybe with the tire in the way? I plan to tackle this tomorrow and will remove the tire to make it easier.

Thanks again!

I can give you my truck specs and the part I ordered if you need it. I actually used some of my Ford points- so the harness was only $200.00.

My Truck: 2025 XLT, PB, 302A, Black Appearance Package, Mobile Office Package.

Part I Ordered: #RL3Z13A409E

I did see that you have the same harness as do. I have been thinking about seeing if I can find the pins that are used in the harness then I can just add the 2 wires needed to my connector.
I have about $150 in points was thinking about using those for the trailer brake controller

You’re welcome. I have the dual exhaust it’s almost right above the drivers side exhaust tip

I have a 2025 STX FX4 (201A) with BLISS and halogen taillights. Two plugs for each taillight. I have confirmed the proper wires are present in the C408 plug. I do not have scales or an inverter. The p/n I see is pictured below. I can't find anything in any Ford website providing and info on my current P/N. Any help is appreciated.

I would think it would be the same part # I used: Part I Ordered: #RL3Z13A409E

I also have halogen taillights and 2 plugs to both taillights.

There is some outstanding information on how to wire the bed lights without the harness in this thread if you go back about a month.....

Yeah, I read it twice. Its a matter of preference for me but I may do what others have done and make my own harness. I just like the mods to be as OEM as possible.

Using the replacement Ford oem harness is going to be the only way to be as close to oem as possible. It’s factory replacement parts.
