WARRANTY . .
Failures in general are rare.
Two years into ownership just get it fixed under warranty.
If you are out of warranty there are plenty of lights on eBay.
you guys.. i am well aware that my truck comes with factory warranty. however it is a pain in my f*cking ass everytime i have to visit the dealerships and then deal with those ass hats. it also doesn't help the fact that my F150 is a daily work truck so therefore any down time is a huge no no.time for warranty repairs
I have a couple of warrantee issues and a pair of unresolved recalls.you guys.. i am well aware that my truck comes with factory warranty. however it is a pain in my f*cking ass everytime i have to visit the dealerships and then deal with those ass hats. it also doesn't help the fact that my F150 is a daily work truck so therefore any down time is a huge no no.
Find another dealer is only advise I can give you. I had a ton of warranty work done on my 2011 including engine rebuild and random minor things and it was always an easy process.you guys.. i am well aware that my truck comes with factory warranty. however it is a pain in my f*cking ass everytime i have to visit the dealerships and then deal with those ass hats. it also doesn't help the fact that my F150 is a daily work truck so therefore any down time is a huge no no.
When did this logic completely dissappear from the service industry?A half decent dealer you drive in with your headlight messed up it's gonna be very obvious they can't fix that so order the part and have you come back later to put on. If they want to give you a run around go somewhere else. You shouldn't have to give up the truck while waiting on a part for a drivable vehicle.
How does one forget to put the oil in?I won’t even take my truck in to the dealer for oil changes, I’d hate a warranty repair wait. Two of my bulbs burned out like one month into ownership, I ordered the bulbs from Ford and did it myself. I wasn’t letting the truck sit on the lot for a week for a headlight bulb.
I think someone on here had their wheel fall off half mile up from the dealer same thing. I don’t know how old the guy was, didn’t get that part of the story. How does one forget to put the oil in?
First year oil kid?
I thought it was bad when dealer didn't tighten lugs on my mom's car after oil change. Wheel came off before she left the parking lot. At least she had oil in it!
based on what i’ve dealt with, Ford dealerships want you to hand over the keys for at least a night or two just to “diagnose” the problem even if it’s obvious what the hell is going on. that’s just one part of it right. then say when the headlight replacement does come in, it’ll take them another couple days just to install that sucker. this is just simply my 2 cents..When did this logic completely dissappear from the service industry?
Why would it ever be necessary to park a functional truck in an empty lot for days/weeks for a new headlight?
It's insane
