The app is now available on Google Play. There are no major differences between it and the GitHub version, except that there is no option to check for updates and install through the app.

Thanks to the early testers for helping get this up and running.

Downloaded from google play and was wanting to leave a positive review for the app. Don't see anyway to leave a review and wondering how I would go about it.
Never mind found it.

Version 2022.06.14 just uploaded. Notable in this release:
  • Two smaller widgets have been added
  • Ability to control which vehicles are displayed (for multi-vehicle owners)
There's also a few bug fixes; hopefully those who've had issues with the widget not updating will be good to go for now.

The Google Play version will be pushed out later today; I'm sorta using GitHub uses as beta testers (in addition to the actual Google Play beta testers).

so I tried to update, but I don't think it's taking. It says the version is: 2022.06.04a even though I did the update. I tried to check for another update and it never says there is one.

I'm a Mach-E owner and member of the Mach-E forums, and inspired by @tonesto7 and others made an Android widget for my car. Over the weekend someone from this forum reached out to me about supporting the F-150. They'd tried my app with their truck and most things worked, but obviously since I wrote it specifically for my car some things didn't work. We've traded information a few times and last night I made some mods for preliminary support:

From a support standpoint, I see two hurdles immediately:
  1. Graphics. There are many variants of the F-150, and so far I've only located the free 2-door image above. I need help locating free images for those other variants. Otherwise everyone is stuck with the above image.
  2. Testing. There's only so much I can do without access to a truck myself to test new features. The easiest thing (for me) would be for some users to voluntarily let me sync my FordPass with their vehicle. This would just give me access to info on the vehicle, not access to anyone's Ford account. The alternative is for some tech-savvy users to capture JSON output and forward to me so I can use as test data.
I plan to commit a version in the next day or two, and I'll post here that happens.
I hope than 1psi has been released from the passenger front.

I dont know how you people live like that.

Weird. I got the notification and updated just fine.
Try going into "Settings" and click on "Github repo", then scroll down to "Downloads" to grab the APK and install manually.

One question. on the smaller widgets, how do I swap between vehicles?

on the medium sized one I tried the name, but it just opened the info screen.

edit: Feature request. Make the 4x2 resizable to at least 5x2 :) it bugs me that it's not centered...LOL

Sorry, missed this post.

On the smaller widgets, double-tap on the vehicle image should switch profiles.

They will be resizable in the next release.

Thoughts on adding a refresh button to the widget?

Sweet on the double click.

One question. I have all 3 widgets on my screen (just testing). It changes them all when I change on one. I'm not sure this is worth it (actually pretty sure it's not), but what about a widget per car?

Nah. The more I think about it, the less it makes sense. I'm not gonna keep 2 widgets on my screen long term and I'm probably one of the few that even has multiple cars.

Great job!

Thoughts on adding a refresh button to the widget?
You can set "Time between widget updates" to the minimum (5 min) without much impact on the phone battery. If you mean force a refresh from the truck, the only thing you can do right now is enable '"Force updates".

If I add something to manually force updates in the future, it will have some lock-outs to avoid draining the 12V battery.
