Anyone figure out a way to get a legitimate full screen. The top and bottom bars are ruining the picture.

Also, I’ve paird my tbox with my iPhone 13pro and I’m unable to use my iPhone WiFi hotspot for connectivity. I was told it was a iOS17 issue and that carlinkit is writing new firmware to resolve this. Can anyone confirm this?

Only by using Naviks or similar if anything else has come out over the past year or so. These boxes only simulate AA / CarPlay so it will never be possible with one of them

For the second part of your question, my phones hotspot worked perfectly fine with the various models I tried. I also currently connect a chromecast with google tv to my hotspot without any issues which isn’t much different

I’m the one who started this thread and I eventually gave up on these because they all had issues and caused more frustration than were useful. I eventually went with Naviks and a connected Chromecast w/ Google Tv and have enjoyed hundreds of hours of streaming video in my truck since.

When you buy Naviks did you buy both video interface and the other black audio input interface? The one is $555 and audio an additional $230. Trying to figure out what all I need, any help appreciated.

Do you have to have both SIM and SD cards in order for it to work? For the life of me I can't seem to get it to do anything other than light up.

You don't have to have the SIM card, you can just connect it to Wi-Fi in your truck. Keep in mind, buying it directly from Amazon you most likely will not get direct support from Carlinkit. It will still do over the air updates and you can still get support through the Amazon seller I'm told. Just setting expectations so you're not surprised.

Appreciate the information. I don't feel like I'm not tech savvy however this thing is kicking my arse.

I plug into USBC as well as USB and can't seem to get it to do its thing. Lol

Once you plug it in, give it a couple of minutes to show connected across the top of your sync screen. You should be able to see it in your phone list as well on sync.

Given it several minutes and still not seeing it comnect.

Ahhhh You're using the wrong USB port bud. Use the USB or USBC inside the cubby where the wireless charger pad is located. Problem solved. Keep us posted
