Drls worked perfect on the way to work this morning.

To my knowledge they go half brightness when low beam is on, I think it is now full brightness. The drls do seem a little less bright than the morimotos we have installed on the f250. But I think I fixed the problem!

yes, how did you turn off the headlights? I bet you are NOT in “auto” headlight mode and are driving with parking lights on. This is why the DRL’s would be at about half power…..so this may be why you were assuming a problem with DRL brightness. With my last truck Yukon SUV, the DRL’s were bright as hell, but when I put on parking lights theDRL’s actually got about 50% dimmer. Anyhow, how did you get the headlamps to turn off while in “automatic” mode?

You go to your sync screen!

tap the drl slider to turn then off


That is what I changed in settings so that in auto mode there was no low beam just full brightness drl’s!

Ok, I will do that. I hadn’t because I assumed that the DRL’s wouldn’t turn on if I turned off the automatic mode. I didn’t know the DRL’s would turn on whenever the truck is on whether auto mode is on OR off! I will give it a whirl! Thanks.

Ordering these tomorrow. Planning on the regular black, they look plently black when off compared to the stocks I have on now. Any objections before I order? Morimotos coming out soon? #1 for me is reliability, haven't read many issues from these luxx series but not many people have them on the 21+'s.

At this point, I would see what the morimoto’s end up looking like and possibly the AlphaRex novas. I would think that they are going to be pretty expensive though. I would recommend the AlphaRex headlights off of my experience they have been great so far!

My thought process was the same as yours. I went with the black as I thought the alpha blacks were too much for my truck. They are so much better than the stockers

I went with the regular ones and not the blacked out ones and they look great on the truck.

Just need Alpharex to put out some fogs

Have you tried the Amber fog light covers? The Amber of the headlights and grill look outstanding. Amber fogs would really tie it all together. Great looking truck.

Yes I have thought about it, just didn’t pull the trigger on Laminx right away, and now the black and yellow look really makes me happy. Even though they don’t match which only slightly bothers me now!

Hi does the auto high beam feature still work? I’m leaning towards the pro version . I guess the DRL‘s would wire up the same? Thanks for the info?

On the LUXX series the Auto High Beam feature works and manually if I switch them on.

Give Alpharex a call in the AM tomorrow (PST) and they'll answer any questions yo confirm on pro series. I called them and they were super helpful when I was looking to purchase LUXX series. You can also hit them up on Instagram if you have that platform.

Hey what ever happened to these fog’s. I was going to try these I can’t find these any body got a link for them?
