I’m a little over 50k miles on my PB and I need new tires. I honestly have no complaints with the stock Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires. I’m looking into the All Terrain Plus instead since I want a little better winter rated tire. I live in Indiana and we sometimes get a good foot of snow if we have a storm and I want that little extra confidence in snow and ice without sacrificing a bunch of MPG, comfort or noise.

Honestly the stock ATR tires did great last year in the snow, just put the truck in deep snow and sand mode and I drove around town on unplowed roads with a bunch of snow and ice. I seemed to have great traction even with all the ice and I was confident in the stoping ability.

Any thoughts on the PLUS’s? I normally get 17-18.5 MPG in the winter and up to 21 in summer. Are the PLUS’s worth it and do they still preform as well in dry weather?

The plus comes in a SL 275/65-20 that is light weight. I’m eyeing that tire up next.

The ones on my truck are 275/60 R20’s, is there an advantage to going up to the 65? I do tow heavy occasionally if that changes things.

Falken Rubitrek stock size. Nice ride, barely noticeable more noise on highway. No change in fuel economy. Can’t speak to snow or off-road yet. They look nice. I think these are 116SL. Installed for $1000. I’m happy.

I decided to stick with stock size and ended up getting WILDPEAK A/T3W
LT275 /65 R18 E1. Got E as I’m about to put a camper on back. I also got new Method wheels as they were a little lighter than stock Tried to help compensate for heavier tire.

Only had them on for about 20 miles but I still got 25mpg driving home from the shop. A little bit more road noise but can’t tell when listening to music at normal level.

I'm also in Colorado and wanted to see how you like the tires in the snow and also with your camper in the back? I also have a camper but it's pretty light. I'm debating getting the AT4W 285/70R/18 (34") Load C. It is a heavy tire though at 68 pounds. I might drop down to the 275/70R/18 (33.4") Load E at 60 pounds a tire. I am also going to level the truck so I can go explore some BLM roads with the kids.

My newly arrived 2021 Lariat PB - added 285/60R20 General Grabber AT's (33.5x11.6") with no level or lift...actually like the stance and tire. Still like my 295/60R20's Toyo AT3's on my 2021 XLT 302A PB with 2" level kit, but these General Grabbers are impressive.

I'm considering the Toyo AT3's for my '21 Powerboost in 295/60/20 and I have a 2" level in the front. Did you notice any difference in the Electric Mode kicking in? Also did you re-calibrate the PCM/TCM for Tire Size increase (like with Forscan) ? Thanks in advance!!

I recently just put a set of Nitto Recon Grapplers in the 295/70/R18 size and I have to say they have been noticeably much much better than the stock hankooks. I took off the stock 20in wheels and opted for 18s because they weighed about 10-12lb less than the stock 20s on my truck (fx4 package). The tires are SL rated and they measure out to 34.3 inches and the whole setup weighs 1.5 lbs more than OEM 20in wheel with 275/60/R20. No real drop in mpg, maybe 1-2 at most but a substantial increase in comfort just dropping down to the 18in wheels. Having more rubber really made a world of difference. They did fit on the stock suspension with some rubbing on the plastic air dam thing inside the wheel well, however I just upgraded everything suspension wise and just had them cut a tiny piece off of that plastic where it was still rubbing (to my surprise) after the 2in level. Planning on doing a full detailed write up soon of my build as I am about to finish all my mods. Cheers and good luck! The nitto recons were the only AT tire that I found with substantially lower weight than the rest out there and available in an SL load rating. Big fan of how they look too!
