I spent about 2 minutes weighing Ford Streaming for the $10 monthly. Because it IS this specific "connected service" that gimps or does not gimp the total functionality offered with Sync4. At least the way I saw it.

But during those 2 minutes of pondering, my brain reminded me that I special ordered this truck exactly how I wanted it to the tune of $79,800
I use 93 octane at every fill up.
I spent unpondered time and $'s to get the suspension, the floor mat protection, the bed protection, the exterior lighting,........

Even the coffee/tea I have sitting in the cup holder is a daily expense that I don't compromise on. (I love good coffee and tea. I make both with precision and enjoy them as the finer things of life)

All these thoughts took place in a matter of seconds in the value equation of Ford Streaming.

I decided I'd not gimp my wonderful cockpit experience in any way in the attempt to be frugal. There's NOTHING frugal about driving around in this magnificent machine that is so obviously a monument to my self pampering. ???

Have you ever driven through Louisiana and seen some fella that lives in a shack but has a gorgeous $100,000 Robalo?

I'm that guy. I live in an RV worth maybe $20k?
But my Gen14 KingRanch Powerboost is my splurge. Too late to be frugal regarding.

Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer (get a regular PSA test)in January. The medication I’m on costs $13,000 a month. After meeting all the deductibles my monthly drug prescription cost me $762.
I wasn’t planning on this expense, so I’m kinda watching my money a little closer!
But I hear ya. It’s nice to be retired and have a nice ride!

Thanks. I worked in a Uranium mill for over twenty years, back when they didn’t have a lot of safety, so it wasn’t totally unexpected. Hopefully the guys on this forum will get a regular PSA blood test. If they catch it early enough, there’s a good chance of eradicating the cancer!

It is not about the $120 per year for Ford Streaming. I am just trying to understand what it is. Alexa on my iPhone with a Bluetooth Audio connection to Sync 4 appears to give all the services bundled into Ford Streaming. The difference is you have to talk to Alex via the Sync 4 interface versus using the Alexa app on the iPhone. The superior hands free option is to use Alexa via Sync 4. But that means managing an additional subscription just for the convenience of using all Alexa services via the Sync 4 interface.

Added it last night. Found that way I can use my Android Auto and the wife can stream her audible books via alexa rather than disconnect my phone and add hers.

Well, I activated Alexa today, joined the free version of Spotify, and linked it.
I started out with Steppenwolf and went down the rabbit hole from there. I listened to some music I hadn’t heard since I was a teenager. Pretty cool!
