Adding adaptive cruise without 360 camera 21 xlt

Hello all - new here.

I purchased a 2021 f150 new, sales rep didn’t check the box for adaptive cruise (long story). After reviewing threads it seemed possible to add adaptive cruise control and use forscan. I have the tow tech package, just no 360 cams. I purchased the adaptive cruise control module, wired it up (correctly) and when I follow the previous excell program sheets, my truck dash says “cross traffic bliss not detected.” I’m assuming since I don’t have 360 cameras. Is there anyone on here that could provide helpful support on how I can program in forscan for adaptive cruise without 360 cams (I have tow tech package). My vin is1FTEW1EP5MKE91689

Did you get the steering wheel buttons as well?

Thanks for reaching out! I have steering wheel button for adaptive cruise, I just haven’t added it yet. Based off research it still works with the original button, works at setting 3.

Is there any specific code numbers through forscan I should implement since I don’t have 360 cam?

Did you actually go through each change in the sheet, look up your asbuilt then change it to the corresponding one to add that specific feature? Or did you just go down the sheet and change everything to my suggested possible changes? Since you have tow tech and most likely trailer backup assist, your values will be different and need to change them accordingly how your truck is spec'd.

Hey superfordman - thanks for reaching out; yes I went through the sheet and changed values in forscan based off suggested changes. Adaptive cruise was not recognized. I then got slightly discouraged until joining this forum. Yes I have tow tech-backup assist. Any thoughts from you or anyone on here regarding suggested values that need changed in forscan based off superfordmans suggested spreadsheet. This could be extremely useful for those that don’t have 360 cams, but want to add adaptive cruise. Here is my vin 1FTEW1EP5MKE91689.

That is you problem then, those are possible suggested changes only. You need to modify them for the specific build of your truck. Set everything back to factory as built, then utilize the main forscan sheet as well. See how your truck was built then change the values to include the new bolded features on the ACC sheet.

Its mainly the values in the IPMA that have the largest impact. The SCCM is only one change for the switch pack and that's it.

Thanks- appreciate you getting back. Would it be possible to share link to spreadsheet to make sure I’m using the correct one with typical values? Is there a reference on it with what typical values mean to navigate the coding?

I tried it using forscan again today and when I try to program it says "Pre collision assist not available. I really wish someone in the cleveland, ohio area that was savy with forscan could give a hand on this one. Local ford dealers stated they do not use forscan. If anyone on here has more insights, that would be super helpful!

I also got adaptive cruise to show under driver assistant, but when selecting, it stated "This isn't available right now"

Share/send me your VIN and I could look up the asbuilt then send you what changes you need to make. If all else fails, I could remote in and help you out that way.
