Hi Everyone,

New to the forum here. I have a questions that I haven't see posted. If it is already out there, please just point me in the right direction.

Here's my question. I have a Lariat with 502A package with the adaptive headlights. I actually don't find them overly helpful to the point that I "need" them. I have found a pair of aftermarket lights that I think would look killer. I also want to do a King leveling suspension upgrade as well, which I see has cause some issue for those with the ride height sensors. So my question is, has anyone thought about just deleting the adaptive headlight system? How would I go about doing that? Could I just unplug everything and swap out the new parts and adjust something in forscan?

Thanks for the guidance in advance.

That’s certainly interesting. I’m not sure if there’s any plug and play kits for the LED projectors. It may require a new harness

If you do go aftermarket let us know if you’re gonna be interested in selling your originals. ?

I was thinking the same. Just have no idea how to go about it.

Ha. I will for sure keep you posted. Have to figure this out first.
Have you figured out how to upgrade from LED/Halogen?

I’m upgrading from LED reflector to LED projector and it required a wiring harness/adapter. There will be a lot less running wires most likely.

Depending on what you want for aftermarket headlamps, you may reach out to the distributors or manufacturers to see if they have something compatible with your factory harness or if they have a harness to sell

That was my next thought to reach out to the manufacturer and see. There was another user, not sure if he’s on here, by the user name boostedgreygoose that did custom harnesses. He made the custom upfitter harness for the older gen f150 if you wanted to add upditter switches. I may try to reach out to him.
Also not sure what I would need to do about the suspension sensors that relay info back to the headlights.

I have an XLT high so just have the reflector LEDs. Boosted grey goose has the harness to go up to the ford oem projectors but going from the oem ones to aftermarket projectors I’m not sure but I have a feeling as others have said would probably be much less wiring if any. ?

You may be able to shut those off in forscan

Do you have CCD?

Oh good, Boosted is still on here, too. Ya, I'll reach out and get his thoughts if he's interested.

No, I don't.

Just need to do some more research, and may reach out to some buddies at Ford dealership. But sometimes they don't even know.

YES! Those are the ones I'm talking about. They do look good! And paired with their fogs too... one sick looking ride.

The other person you should talk with is Jesse with infotainment. That dude is a wealth of info with our trucks. He might also have some thoughts.
