Maybe, but I did not do a before and after of where the light level was when I redid my suspension two weeks ago or so. So far, no one has flashed me at night, so I will leave it as. If I have to adjust them down a bit, I will.
Is it super dark where you are?
I know where i am, its straight 2-lane back roads leaving work. During peak season i'm here til midnight. I got flashed by damn near everyone on my ride home. you know what really gave it away? I pulled up to MCD one morning to get a biscuit, i noticed my headlight beam was angled with the bricks on the side of the building.

That prompted me to do what i posted above and indeed, my lights were off. I wish i would have documented the process. I measured, put tape up and everything. LOL

I know on the other forum, a couple of us wondered if there is some sort of logic in the auto level headlight "coding" that since our trucks come factory with rake maybe the truck takes that into consideration when "leveling" and when people "level" their trucks, the logic doesnt know that and aims the headlights high.

Not at all dark where I live. I live in the heart of Miami and there are street lights every where.

I am not sure what it uses, but I can tell you these trucks have a ride height sensor mounted on the driver side upper control arm. What I am not sure of is if that it was it uses to auto-level the headlights.

heart of miami?! thats right. you got all those street lights it probably doenst get "dark" enough.

Yeah i didnt change my UCA's so i'm still rocking stock. that mayyyy be part of the contributing factor. maybe those using stock UCA's over aftermarket? i just know i got flashed a lot lol and when i noticed the lights aimed upwards at MCD, i did the whole measuring thing and found they were indeed aimed high.

Idk man. For sure my truck is sitting higher than before and street lights or not, I think I would have pissed somebody off by now if they were pointing too high. Miami drivers are not the type to shy away from letting other drivers know how they feel. 🤣

Not to mention, I would love for someone to flash their lights at me so I can hit them back with some Bambi mode greatness. lol Seriously though, I would aim them down if that were the case.

Just because you have autolevel doenst mean they dont need to be adjusted. Mine have the auto level and i'll tell you with 1000% confidence after the Ford Performance Set up was installed, they indeed were aimed high and needed to be lowered downward.

as i mentioned above, i got flashed a bunch and i found mine were way off. ever since i've adjusted them though i havent had much of an issue.

Again, thats false information. they will indeed most likely need to be adjusted.

this is what you need to do to be certain you're lights are correct. again, i know many have had to adjust their "auto leveling" headlights, me included.

I just pulled this straight from the owners manual.

Maybe so for your truck, but I can say with 1000% confidence that mine did not need to be adjusted at all after my 2.5” level. Never ever get flashed on low beams, high beams are aimed perfectly and not aimed up at the sky. That’s the whole point of the dynamic bending. If you’re towing a heavy load, the UCA would be in an elevated position (nose high) just like putting a leveling kit on. Sure, if you put a 6” lift on, I’m sure they don’t have that degree of adjustability and would probably require a relocation bracket.

Oh, and I’ll add that I live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by farms and no streetlights anywhere. Pitch black on my commute at O-Dark 30.

maybe your truck is special lol

dynamic bending is not the same as auto-level but i get how the system works. i get that when you load up the bed or tow its supposed to adjust for the extra weight in the rear.

unfortunately i guess no one here really has an answer.
i thought the same thing...i have auto level on my truck but i was wrong. i set my FP to 2.5" and i constantly got flashed. when i started the truck it did the same ol song and dance. It wasnt until i parked 25' away, measured my headlights and put tape on the wall i noticed that my beams were in fact aimed slightly up. ever since i adjusted mine i havent had an issue.

so when people ask if they got to re-aim their lighting i guess the answer is maybe haha

Could be… mine is a 2025, so very possible that Ford has changed something with the dynamic bending since the 2022s?

Auto leveling headlights or not, it's always a good idea to check the headlight alignment after raising or lowering a vehicle. All you need is a tape measurer, painter's tape, and a screwdriver.

I checked mine after raising my truck just over 2 inches and I had to adjust them down quite a bit. Granted, no one ever flashed me but per the manual they were off quite a bit after suspension mods.

On another note my fog lights were pretty much pointed straight down to the ground from the factory. After adjusting those it's amazing how much light they provide when properly adjusted. Seeing how bad mine were, I'd advise everyone to check theirs, even on a stock truck.

I’m glad you mentioned that about the fogs. Didn’t even think about how those were aimed. I’ll look at those this weekend

I had the same issue with my fog lights, they were pointed straight down.
