they jump when a car is suddenly behind them. I find it hilarious, they typically don't.
One evening in college, some frat boys were sauntering across a red light with waiting traffic, holding out their hands to stop it, finding themselves hilarious.

As they passed in front of me, I tossed the transmission into neutral and gunned it.

With a chevy 400.

And no muffler!

Suddenly it was my friend and I who found it hilarious, as they scattered like nine-pins!

Yes brake lights come . It sounds like you have the speed sign recognition turned on and it is fairly aggressive. I turned mine off for that reason as people behind me would get annoyed . That and I have some areas with drastic speed changes.
I don't use any of this dangerous driving aids!
Especially the Bluecruse!
I'm bluecrusin at 75 mph on the highway. A car is tailgating me as usual . A car in the slow lane way ahead of me swerves into my lane and then back into his own lane. Well my truck slams on the brakes and slows to 50 mph . Cars behind me skidding tires and blasting the horn. I almost bought the farm that day. The ppl behind me thought i was break checking them! Very dangerous! No more adaptive cruise for me! Doesn't work if sensors are dirty either!

It usually takes a minute or so of camping the left lane to illicit that type of behavior. Here it's unlawful to obstruct traffic in the left lane regardless of speed. That's one law that cannot ever be enforced enough. I'm more than happy to pace a faster car at a distance, last thing I want is to obstruct them. ;)

Man, be careful around the sign recognition thing. I have it set to On as well but I only use it on the highways. Sign recognition tends to read the wrong signs on occasion. At least once every time I use it it reads an offramp sign or even a sign on an overhanging bridge and tries to reduce my speed from like 110km/h to 60km/h so I have to punch the gas quickly to make sure I don't die.
And it seems inconsistent when it recognizes certain signs like school speed limit or truck limit signs. Also it can sometimes pick up on frontage road speed limit signs from the highway, most annoying.
