In the ACM, you change this to EQS Flat EQ

ACM.jpg
Is there an option to do the same for the rear or front door speakers using forscan to produce 4v low voltage line output to add amp to replace or add to the existing B&O speakers and not have to use Zen NavTV?

You could purchase a Non-Amplified ACM and program it to the truck. Then you could set the EQ to off and have a more cost-effective route than the Zen A2B. We never recommend setting the ACM to low-level, it achieves nothing, just requires your amplifier to "Amplify" more which adds impurities to the reproduction.

Oh, non-amplified!! That one is very simple. Turn off the factory EQ in ForSCAN and utilize a hand-crafted t-harness from an amazing company :D to provide you with the signal + speaker wires.
Hi Don,

Thanks for the valuable info. I have one question though.
I have not tested it yet but I saw on some forums people complain about bass roll-off for the rear doors speakers and some people say that they get rid of that by enabling "line-level output".
The question is do you know if this problem exists for systems without an external amplifier?
Also in my Forscan codes, I see that "Int Amp" is enabled for Front. Should I keep internal amplifier settings on the ACM when adding an external amp via high-level input?

Thanks in advance,
Volodymyr

That only exists in the B&O systems. Once you turn your EQ to 0 for the non-amplified, you are good to go.

I just added a Kicker Key 200.4 to my truck and have been thinking of adding the block off plates. Would it be a good idea to turn my EQ to flat in Forscan for my Kicker to utilize the DSP? Or is this not needed? 2021 F150 Non B&0 12" screen 7 speaker system. Thank you.

So I have a question. In my acm on forscan there are I think 12 EQ settings. The default in my truck base 6 speaker but I have added the ford kicker sub. Is setting 1. Do you guys or @Jesse-Infotainment have any idea what those others do? I’ve played around with them and don’t really notice a difference.

No need with the Kicker Key Amplifier, it will fix everything for you. That's one of the reasons we use that amplifier in out packages, simple, fewer items, and a great option.

Not actually sure about the Kicker setup on what to activate. If it's aftermarket and you are using the door speaker signal, then that's when the EQ makes a difference. If you are using a different signal, then the EQ will not make a change.

It’s a ford accessory. It’s mostly plug and play and there are the 2 signal wires that pin into the factory acm connector. I was just curious looking at forscan seeing 12 different eq settings if anybody had thoughts on them. I guess I will try a few different ones to see if I can tell any difference.

Got it, so the EQ in ForSCAN should not effect that subwoofer. But will change the way the interior speakers sound.

I changed the EQ from 01 to 00 and I also have the kicker OEM sub kit. I absolutely could tell a difference in the sub and it sounded horrible. I had to go back to 01 and run the kicker dsp that way. It made the sub sound sooo bad.

The OEM kit could be programmed to the EQ being on since every Ford truck has this EQ active. In the aftermarket, it's best with the EQ off but only when doing a full system since you do not want subwoofer bass going to your door speakers. For sub only (Aftermarket), you use a KeyLOC to fix the EQ.

With an LCI and amp just for a sub box with the b&o 8 speaker system do you need to adjust in Forscan? Also, is there really any benefit going with LCI2 vs 1? From what I understand the advantage of LCI2 is accubass for roll off but roll off should not be an issue with b&o.

Do not use an LC product on these trucks...It is not the correct approach, the Kicker KeyLOC properly programmed on the interior speakers is the right way.

For ForSCAN, not much can be done stereo wise on the B&O systems.
