One of the first things I asked chatGPT was to make a convincing argument for using solar panels in the arctic circle, during winter. It's just too good not share.... I then asked it an equally important question, which makes sense if you understand solar activity within the arctic circle during winter.

Can't wait for the super efficient solar panels that generate electrons during a 66 'day' long night.

TLDR; what are the Cliff notes?

Those chatbots read like Youtubers and basic cable reality shows trying to fill time.

I have had a lot of trouble finding information on research and stumbling into AI word salad garbage. I can usually figure out if it’s fake or written by a moron within a paragraph.

Just don’t try to make artificial intelligence write an essay on which oil is best and how often to change it. You might smoke some server somewhere as it overheats in a feedback loop of all the total bullshit available on the internet!

If you leave it open ended, it will ramble / provide more context. If you tell it to keep it concise it will. Think of it like searching google. If you want exactly what you're looking for you're going to have to get creative. Or you can let it ramble and then tell it to shorten it to x sentences or a paragraph, etc...

If you want an explanation for a child, tell it. If you want an answer on a complex topic at a PHD level, specify it. They won't become personal assistants until they allow it to do so. You can for example feed it a whole bunch of things be it papers or emails and then tell it to answer emails as you would. It can fluff things up. Whereas you might say "no", tell it to write a paragraph response declining x, etc....

Eventually it will understand what you like and what you don't and will tailor responses to suit the individual.
