Good morning

I currewntly have a 91/93 octane tune in my 2022 5.0 v8. If I choose to use E85 i'm assuming I have to re-flash my truck back to stock to be able to use it becuse the vehicle is flex fuel??? am i correct??

What company did you use to tune your truck?

I have a livernoise tune. I would have to reflash my tune for E85 I believe. Livernoise does offer a multi tune programmer now that you can select between multiple tunes with cruise control menus. I don't have that option. I run the 93 octane performance tune.

You'd have to ask your tuner. If you're not boosted, I would be surprised they didn't include a flexfuel basemap to go with the 93 map just in case you wanted to switch.

Different rules for boosted coyotes & Ecoboosts. N/a, we can use a flex fuel tune and swap between 93/e85 without issue. Boosted setups for the most part are 93 or e85 or a specific e85 blend like e30/e50.

Does that mean I can just reflash it back to stock and I'll be good to use E85?

Please note that Livernois Multi Tuner is still in the Beta testing phase, I purchased one last Black Friday. I tow, so I wanted the ability to “switch on the fly” and that’s what they sold me. To this day the Multi Tuner hasn’t been built for a tow, performance, E30, etc. switch in the fly mode. They did send me a tuner that had 4 different power levels, but I don’t want that. I asked them why 4 different power levels, but no tow, performance, etc available?
They just haven’t built it yet, but they are selling it, and I’m not alone.
sorry to derail the thread, buyers beware.
