eBay! I've got links to everything I purchased in that write up. Screen is the bigger variable, originally I got one from LKQ but they send only the screen and nothing else and did not want to send the bezel for less than $300.

I have a 23 with NAV and 8" screen I thought I read somewhere there was a way to only install the screen and not have to have a new APIM?

Also, have you seen the sellers on ebay selling the screen replacement out of china for $250ish?

There is a way. It’s apparently hit or miss if it works right. A few write ups here on how to do that method as well as on facebook.

I don’t think I’d trust the china screens.

There is a way. It’s apparently hit or miss if it works right. A few write ups here on how to do that method as well as on facebook.

I don’t think I’d trust the china screens.

I initially tried to reuse my 8" APIM but I ran into the issue where the screen would only power up intermittently and when it did turn on it would randomly turn off. I tried different power sources but always got the same result. Luckily my 12" screen came with an APIM and when using it, it works flawlessly.

There is a local seller with what he claims is the oem kit that is plug and play. Doesn’t your vin need to be programmed? Anything I need to confirm comes with the kit ? He is sending more pictures tomorrow.

Question for you guys...can you go from the 12" screen to 8" screen? All this tech in the new F150s is a turn off for me. I also don't want a digital dash, I am a big fan of analog, simple, clean instrument clusters that give off minimal light.

Thank you for sharing this. Do you still get OTA updates after the install? I heard changing the APIM module stops the OTA‘s.

I've still gotten a few. I usually update with FDRS about once a year though.
