That is my understanding after talking to Marketing HQ CSR.... won't see Built status until some move is made toward shipping the thing.

Honestly this wouldn’t surprise me in the least with the way shipping/trucking has been. I can’t really fault Ford for this line of thought.

Well.....just to pour salt in our wounds. A co-worker ordered a Jeep Gladiator on Aug 11th. He got his "Built and awaiting shipment" email today. I wouldn't be caught dead driving a Gladiator....at least there's that.

Curious, what about the gladiator do you not like? Cause waiting forever for f150 had me browsing other vehicles (gladiator, ranger, tundra, tacoma)

I think they're ugly as
I come from a long line of Ford owners, but a Ram would be my second choice. No one else has the generator though. That's a game changer for boondocking.

Well I just received horrible news from my dealership but not surprised: "Micro Chip At Plant On Hold."

No delivery ETA date change yet but he said that it will.

Just emailed my dealer and same thing. Shows ETA of 9/2-9/8, but also on chip hold so the ETA doesn't mean anything. Still no 720 modules listed on mine--Platinum PB.

He just logged into the system at their dealership and saw the status. No clue how he exactly did it. Sorry for the bad news but deep down we all knew this was going to happen since all Lariat's and above are waiting in a field some place.

I just checked and no 720 modules. I do have a tear tag but I don't think that really matters.

I agree. Most people talk about Vehicle Visibility Report for shipping information, but I've seen screen shots where it shows visibility throughout the production as well. The status field has a secondary status that probably shows the "chip-hold" message.

Dealer just told me the truck is produced and waiting for shipment. ETA of 9/10 - 9/16?

He didn't mention anything about chip hold, but I have my 720's, so maybe I got lucky?

Is that from yours? I don't know how mine snuck out the door after a few weeks on chip hold, but I suspect these chip holds have something to do with the PB or generators. In hindsight, I wish I had added the 2KW generator on my 3.5EB, just for emergencies. Hopefully this is a short term chip hold for you guys.

I've got an XLT and my dealer told me a few days ago it is expected to arrive on Monday, 8/29. However, last night I got an email from Ford saying truck is built and eta is 9/4-9/9. Tracker just says awaiting shipment at this point.

Being from SE Michigan, over half the people I know work in the auto industry. Just so happens I got a guy on the ground in the plant today and he is going to check around when he gets a chance. I told him if the truck is there to drive it back for me...lol.

As PaulO stated, we all knew the inevitable chip hold. Dealer told me, the more content you have the more likely the order gets delayed.
