My growing suspicion (or assumption) is that these latest delays may be caused by yet another shortage in chips in lieu of my previous theory of shipping bottlenecks or Ford simply not updating the trackers in a timely fashion.

I was hoping that the recent batch would include enough semiconductors to get our builds through, but I'm not so sure that's going to be the case after all.

No official news related to this yet other than the closure of the KC plant due to the same issue.

My posted delivery ETA from the start was 49 days from the build day. I have always suspected a shortage of some kind. PF and my dealer both have told me that my truck is built just waiting on transport. I am starting to question that. My Ford Pass activation was decided from in the cab yesterday so I hope someone authorized was in it.

Just for kicks, I checked one of the 8/4 blend trucks that is physically for sale on my dealer's lot on the https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do. Shows all the same "null" modules as my truck, so at least it answers that question for me.

Just had a new user ask me to add them to the notification tracker. First build that has actually been in transit according to the tracker API. Blend date of 8/10, Released 8/13, Shipped 8/19. Lucky bastard

I was getting uptight that I too would miss out on the 0%/60month deal, and would have to settle for the 1.9% with a 1500 trade credit that I locked in when I placed the order in June. But when I did the math, based on my loan/expected trade value, the trade credit almost exactly offsets the interest paid effectively making it a 0% loan. So basically for me it's the same deal.

That’s good to know. I texted the 0% offer to my dealer and asked if there is any chance I might get it (build week 9/20 for now), and he didn't think it would be. It’ll probably be expired by the time I get mine.

My truck shipped 8/17. But the latest update was this morning from chat with FP.
Last scan they can see reflects it was received at Markham Yard in the Hazel Crest, IL area. Arrived there from Dearborn via rail. Next step is for it to be loaded onto a convoy unit to deliver to the dealership. Sad part is it shows it to arrive 9/15-9/21 when I’m only 2.5 hours away from there. FP advised they are unable to track the convoy side. The next scan they will receive is when it’s delivered to the dealership. So I wait….

8/23 ETA...

Truck didn't show (as I figured). Spoke with the dealer and they didn't know much. Basically it had been "Released" for shipment from what they told me. Still "In Production" on the tracker with a 9/3 ETA. Expecting a late September delivery now I guess.

I really need to get an updated trade appraisal I'm thinking...

The wait is not what’s killing me. It’s the not knowing if it will be 1 week delayed or 4, 8, etc.. Every day feels like Christmas with no presents under the tree.

Just ordered mine on 8/4/2021 hoping for a late October delivery ,funny thing though
,sometimes the order tracker says its in production, other times it's still being processed KC build by the way 2021 Lead Foot Grey XLT 4X4 302 High package with Twin Panel Moonroof

Just curious, Dearborn or Kansas City build?

Reached out to my dealer, truck still hasn't moved as far as they can tell.

20 days since being built, and it STILL isn't on a rail car. Seriously, wtf?

Making me think the truck isn't actually completed and is waiting on a chip or something, despite what FP chat and my dealer is telling me.

Man what gives. All my trackers say in transit to dealer. Palsapp said it got transferred to wade lot on 8/10 (1FTFW1E53MKE37309) No update since then. Another truck on the same shipping receipt was Delivered to its dealer just 2 days later in Lansing mi (1FTEW1EP5MKE17091) I'm near Detroit. Meanwhile my truck hasn't had a update since. I'm so confused, idk why my truck won't ship.

Mine is in the same limbo state. I'm thinking they are fully built but possibly waiting on the quality control inspection. Too many vehicles to inspect with not enough people to inspect them. Once they are inspected they then move on to the shipping channels plagued with the same manpower shortage. No facts to back this up. This is just my theory based on my life experiences in 2021.

SHORTAGE...It's not just for chips anymore.

Im Curious if everyone who has seen there vehicle show up in the ford pass app, and has tried to activate it, and then some time later get the message that it was declined, have either received there truck already, or if they have been updated to shipped.
