OK guys has anyone in our group started playing around with Forscan yet? I got my OBDII cable and a 2-month free license the other day but I have not really spent enough time on the program to feel comfortable making changes. I want to update my tire size so the speedo, miles, and MPG are correct on the car computer. I also want to get rid of the double honk.

Well, today is pretty much THE update, for me. Today I move myself into the promised land of 'Got Their Truck'. I picked it up on Saturday and then about a zillion things happened, so... it continues to just sit in my driveway. But, I HAVE TAKEN DELIVERY!

Now let's get everyone else over the finish line!

@Poorredman is presumably still waiting on shipment.

@Pixie and @segev2110 are still in Limbo. But the updates, infrequent as they may be with so few of us left, aren't stopping until everyone's got a truck.

The 8/2 Limbo List

Built & More!

poorredman________ ('Shipped!' ETA 10/29, Coming soon?)

Still in Limbo
Pixie (Hypothetical ETA 12/31, considering her options!)
segev2110 (Hypothetical ETA 'TBD')

I've researched it, and have a cable, but have done nothing with it (too nervous). I'll be interested to hear your experiences with it... if it goes well for you, I would LOVE to get rid of the double honk! (and also put the folding sideviews in 'Lincoln Mode', most likely)

I'm flying up to Des Moines tonight and closing the deal at Granger first thing Tuesday morning. Fingers crossed it's in perfect condition....

I have not found great videos on the step-by-step how-to for the 2021 F150's.

I have. Changed the tire size using method two where you change the code and not the size in mm. Also turned off seatbelt chime, double honk when key comes out of a running vehicle and turned on Bambi mode. Did it all late one night and haven't gone back in but I'd like to also do global windows and Lincoln fold mirrors. The most time consuming part was backing up each module by clicking through them all and doing save as. I'm not good with computers and just read everything twice before starting. Then went really slow and triple checked everything before writing the code. Assuming you mess up you can get it back with the backup files. I also took pictures of the screen with my phone before changing the code.

Once FORScan new update is out then the following will change mirror autofold type to Lincoln Style:

DDM 740-03-16 xxxx xxxx 01--
PDM 741-03-16 xxxx xxxx 01--

Regular Autofold will unfold mirrors any time the truck is unlocked and fold them any time the truck is locked

Lincoln Autofold will only unfold mirrors when the driver's door is opened & shut or the engine started (whichever comes first). Most use this one because you can grab something out of your truck without the mirrors unfolding.
Note: if you unlock and open your driver's door to get something, you can lock it back with the button on the inside before closing it to keep the mirrors from unfolding.

Made it back from Iowa last night at 2am. 900 miles, no hiccups and rode nice. I think my 2018 157" still rode a little smoother on the highway.

Got the first layer of bugs off and wiped her down. Will post a review of my Granger experience in another thread. Wasn't perfect....

Fyi, check your tire pressure. Mine were ~43 psi coming off the lot - sticker recommends 35, but I run 38 front 34 rear since most of weight is on the front wheels unloaded.

Yes, they were checked before I hit the road and they were ~40. I also pushed in a bunch of fuses.

IMHO, the 501a without the Chrome Package and FX4 is the best deal out there. Now I just need to fend off the wife that keeps telling me it needs running boards. I like the sleek look better.

Yup imo, FX4 on powerboost is a total ripoff since you already have the E locker. $50 in extra skid plates, a $5 hill descent switch, and a little work adds back pretty much everything the $1k gets you.

*looks out the window to the truck in the driveway with his 'FX4' sticker on the back, then to the 'Powerboost' badge on the door, then opens his empty wallet, stares. and sighs*
