Don’t think so, my old (2015) F-150 did. Seems like anything with push button start, and therefore a sensor to know if the key is in the car or not doesn’t let you.
We lock the keys/fob in the car with the keypad of both our F150 and Explorer almost everyday. Push button in both cars.

Good to know, I actually don’t know what the buttons are to lock it with the keypad, I’ve only ever used it to unlock, so that would explain it. I’ve only tried hitting the lock button on the inside of the door then shutting it which it won’t let you do.

Press and hold the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons and it will lock the doors with the fob in the car. You can not lock the doors from the inside and then close the door with the fob in the car, you have to use the keypad.

There should be a part number on the back of that trim piece. Order and replace it yourself and have them reimburse you.

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do

Haven't tried my 2022 but I recall on my 2020 you could leave it running and lock by pushing the little sensor on the handle (IF EQUIPPED as they say throughout the manual) twice. I suspect that will work with the fob inside and engine off.

Totally agree! The F150 keypad is WAYYY better. The Explorer one is not intuitive to wake up when it's dark. I much prefer the tactile feel of the buttons on the F150. I use the keypad almost everyday, especially in the summer when I'm wearing shorts and don't want to drag the car keys around.

The people that don't use it are missing out on a really great feature that other brands don't have!
The code I set on 2020 was 38538. I was thinking it was 6 digits and punched in 38538...5. That's when I learned adding a 5 after your code drops the tailgate. Fortunately the garage door was already open.

This 90’s relict keypad hurts my eyes every time I see it. I don’t understand why they don’t replace it with the invisible one that lights up when touched
You can wear work gloves and unlock the truck with this style keypad. That’s why they use this on the F-150

Called the dealer said they can look at it in 2 weeks. I asked will you have the part, nope they can't order parts until they diagnose it. WTF the keypad on the door is falling off, the clip broke and now its just hanging, what is there to diagnose? So I have to wait 2 weeks for service plus who knows how long to get the part.

$70k , less than 15k and this is Ford quality.

Luck of the draw man. My 21 stx has 0 issues but yours has that. Then Chevy ain't no better cause my dad's 21 silverado been in the shop longer than it's been on the road. Guess the whole built on a Friday evening saying holds some truth.

Came here to say this. Ford is actually pretty good/smart about this on the F150s. They know they are primarily work trucks and capacitive buttons suck if you're wearing gloves. Its the same with inside the cab. Buttons for almost everything.

Some could argue that on the more expensive trims they could use a different part, but why?

That said, I've never used the keypad on either of the F150s I've owned. I don't even know the code.

My buddies $80K Denali Yukon, passenger side lifter went and tanked, so got that fixed. He asked if they'd replace driver side...nope, not until failure. Two weeks later, yup...drive side tanks, lifter goes.
Then full air ride went out, dropped all the way down while on the highway... No GM for me....only has 41K on it....no thanks

Huh. I'm going to try this and see if the 21+ trucks do this....
