Boosted vehicles always run rich on the OEM tune. Even with aftermarket tuning, boosted engines will always be slightly rich when generating max power.Used oil analysis doesn't show any excessive fuel dilution, and the truck regularly averages 21-22mpg per tank, so I doubt it's running rich.
Agreed, the factory tune on my 3.5EB targets a default air fuel ratio of 14.08 to 1 and this is what you will see at lower loads. Under WOT, the targeted air fuel ratio can be as rich as 10.13 to 1. In catalyst protection mode, the air fuel ratio can be as rich as 9.57 to 1.The boost and enrichment for it occurs when the turbos are doing their thing. If you can stay off the gas pedal and stay off the turbos you'll see far less enrichment.
