I was helping a family friend today with some landscaping work. He wanted to make a french drain along side the edge of his property. He rented a bobcat to help with distributing the gravel. Only problem was there is a steep grade along the path and the dirt was not compacted so the bobcat couldn't get back up the hill. Just spun the wheels and dug itself further into the slope.
Told my friend, "No problem, we got this". Pulled out the tow rope and hooked the bobcat up to my truck. Turned on 4H and locked the rear differential. Eased the truck up the hill and pulled the bobcat back up the hill with my friend driving the bobcat. He had a big look of relief when we got it back up.
Ended up filling 5 gal buckets with gravel and putting them in the bed of the truck and backing the truck down the hill in 4H where my two teenage boys, my friends' two teenage boys and two of their friends unloaded and spread the gravel.
I know, "cool story", "where's the pics?" Sorry, maybe next time.
