Have a 23 lariat, use 4 auto a lot here in Michigan. But at highway speeds in north 4a and 2h I get random loss of power and lack of traction for 2-3 seconds when turning onto roads. Also my windows roll up and then immediately back down and won’t roll back up unless I hold the switch. Seems weird it’s all at once at the same time.

The auto window bounce is real common. Mine fixed itself when I got a new battery, and there’s OTA updates to fix it.

People also commonly report a loss of power due to wonky traction control tuning, there are ENORMOUS threads on this issue here on the forum, and I think some folks have even opened up class-actions against ford on this.

Thanks for the reply! What are they saying (majority) about the traction control and power issue? This truck is basically brand new and kinda ticks me off it’s doing this.

My 2021 front windows do it after 2 yrs because I put weathertech vent visors in. Then put silicone on a towel and ran it along the edge of the window. Go up and down a few times to break it in

Mine did this after installing weathertech vents. Did some poking around on the web and found the fix.

Tap the up switch with short movements until the window finally gets all the way to the top. Once at the top hold the switch in the up direction for two seconds then release. Hold the switch in the up direction for two seconds again and the system relearns the extra power that is needed to raise the window. Never had a problem again.

According to Scotty Kilmer And me a little silicone rubbed on the edge of the window with a rag can solve it. I have 2021 xlt.

Thanks man! I’m gonna give that a shot when I get it back from the shop here soon.

Appreciate it! I’ll follow up after I give that a shot.

The window stops and rolls down because the system is seeing an amount of current draw that it thinks is an obstruction. Adding lubrication lessens the current draw back into an "allowable" reading. Either way works, I prefer to tell the system what the new norm is instead of adding lube that will eventually have to be reapplied and can cause debris to build up.
