Had my weekly chat with Ford. According to the representative, my truck is still waiting to ship but it does have an ETA of 4/15 to be delivered to the dealer. I don't know what to think about that.

I think most of us have learned that the amount of information we get from chat/marketing is largely dependent on the customer service agent who responds.

I’ll likely try and confirm through chat because they seem to just cut and paste the statuses

Hit up ford chat, got a rail car number. It’s moving through Decatur IL on its way to KC. Chat said 8th -14th for this, but didn’t say if the 14th was delivery or not.

The ordertrack.app and palsapp all say pending. Nothing shows up for my VIN in United road either.

Save and/or post all your rail/transport contacts. I think I can figure out how to get rail updates but I've never been able to break the code at PalsApp and know nothing about United.

I think the trucking companies are pretty backed up as well at the moment. I read an article this morning that Walmart is upping their starting pay to $95k a year, because they are having trouble getting enough drivers.

They really should have a factory pick up option though.

They can't allow factory pickup ... it's not Ford's call. Ford may ONLY sell vehicles to dealers and you HAVE to get it from a dealer. I live in Dearborn and we can't do a factory pickup. Also, the dealer cannot send a porter to pick up the vehicle (I asked) ... it HAS to be delivered to them on a car hauler.

You could buy through a dealer located near Dearborn. While you're here ... visit The Henry Ford Museum or Greenfield Village) and book a Ford Rouge Factory Tour and watch F-150's getting built: https://www.thehenryford.org/visit/ford-rouge-factory-tour/

Then you can pick up your truck at a dealer basically located a mile or two away from the factory where it only needs to go on a car carrier ... no train depots.

Is there a dealer near Dearborn that would match a Granger/Chapman/Koons type of deal on an order? If there was, they'd be very very busy.

There are ways in which Ford could do a 'plant or area dealer' pickup without specifically penalizing the selling dealership. I suspect it all has something to do with scratching backs of the Teamsters and the unions representing the Railroad workers. Not that this is wrong, it's just that all this shipping crap impacts delivery of ordered units.

I doubt the chat people have much info at all. They're just there to absorb abuse, occasionally escalate something and allow corporate types to say the company cares. I'm sure they have a few troubleshooting scripts for some items but this order stuff they seem to have about as much info as we do.

Not tonight but my ETA has been pushed 3 or maybe 4 times already. I've gotten 2 different emails and twice talked to the dealer and been given dates I didn't yet have in email.

congratulations guys. my delivery date was 4/5 to 4/11 Has been built since 3/24. mine still says waiting shipment. talk to the dealer last night. He told me that it still says 4/11 ship date.

I didn't get a shipped email, but I'm expecting 3-4 weeks to delivery based on other trucks I've seen on here and the Facebook groups.
