I have a freight ID and convoy on window sticker. So that's great, truck sits a month before shipping and then I can't track it once it is shipped. Things keep getting better. So, another post, because why not.
I was reading the info on ordertrack. It says If you’re leaving the plant by convoy but you’re actually making the trip by rail you can’t track your order.

This option means you have a freight ID like I do below. This may be why I don’t show on any trackers…

And to add to the 100% speculation of this post -
I did click activate in the ford pass app less than a week ago to see what would happen. It just said get in the vehicle to finish, but this morning I got a notification that said the activation was denied. Not that it timed out and tor retry, but that someone in the car rejected it. Hopefully that means someone was moving it and got annoyed and hit cancel. Could mean movement…

Obviously this is all guess work and I could be wrong about everything I just said. Wanted to put it out there anyways
I’m reading it as it could be shipped already but we would have no idea. Just going to get a random text from the dealer with it on the lot.I have a freight ID and convoy on window sticker. That would be a nice surprise.I’m reading it as it could be shipped already but we would have no idea. Just going to get a random text from the dealer with it on the lot.
April 14th is the ETA. I chatted with ford online today and they said there’s a secondary status called: “Delay - rail carrier. What is your estimated delivery date?
I heard of it last week. Just another obstacle to getting a truck delivered.April 14th is the ETA. I chatted with ford online today and they said there’s a secondary status called: “Delay - rail carrier.
This means that the vehicle is impacted by carrier equipment failure, interchange delays, off loading delays, yard congestion, equipment shortage, or Diversion.”
anybody ever seen that Delay - rail carrier issue before?
Called Ford Marketing today, they said it’s on train and will be there the week of the 14th.. this week. So, another post, because why not.

They couldn’t give me a rail car or anything which is odd. My trackers still show as in transit with no info, but that aligns with what I posted above.
Yeah, I'd gladly pick up from the factory and pay the 1700 if it got me my truck faster. Plus I wouldn't have to worry about off loading accidents that have been reported. Right now my truck just sits waiting to be shipped. I'm beginning to think Ford is a federal agency with the amount of delays involved. They should be able to give you a rail car number, unless they are just blowing smoke. I chatted today and asked about a rail car, they told me that they did not have one, yet. So, I asked where the truck was. Still at Ramp 5M, New Boston, MI. I plan on checking in with the dealer on Wednesday. ETA still shows 5/2/22. Based on my last order out of Dearborn (2018), I'm not very confident that it will make it to the dealer by 5/2 if not already on a train.
On another note, are others starting to see trucks on dealer lots? A dealer I go past, frequently, has a number of well equipped XLT's and a couple of Lariats. Wonder if the economy and gas prices are holding people back from purchasing. Sad, if it is, and sad for Ford. They spent all this production time producing for stock, and now it sits all the while ignoring Retail orders, delaying delivery of order Trucks. Ford is a case of how not to manage during a crisis. Still can't believe that they've not implemented plant pickups. I'd be there tomorrow for my built truck and still pay the delivery charges.
I think most of us have learned that the amount of information we get from chat/marketing is largely dependent on the customer service agent who responds. They should be able to give you a rail car number, unless they are just blowing smoke.
