I haven't been wrenching on the truck much lately as I've been focused on our 23' Z in preparation for spring. Man this car is a blast. Here are a few shots after recent PPF & tint. Go-fast bits include AMS heat exchanger, SOHO 3" cat-back, TS Kompact BOVs, Nismo Twin-Disc street clutch & flywheel, tuned at SOHO. Suspension includes KW V3 coil-overs and nismo/rays club-sport wheels. This has the TT VR30 motor in it, I greatly missed it from my previous Q60 red sport. It puts down just shy of 500 hp/tq at the wheels. Plenty of fueling left to increase boost but 500 feels just about on the edge of manageable in this little stick go-cart. I've currently got 305s on the rear and could use a ton more tire but its an absolute blast.

Nice! A friend of ours has a 300ZX that he keeps pristine, he's usually out at z-days especially before that event started declining in attendance in recent years. You got any plans for it?

Yep-get it running and drive it. Not just run it at the track, it will be a street car. Previous engine (with another owner) was a 434 sbc with a fogger and a plate on it, went 7.80's at 185 or so. Current engine with me is a 5.3 ls freshened up with ring gaps opened up, csu blow through e85 carb, and a midframe 88 mm turbo. Should be good for about 1000 hp.

What a monster. That's going to be a blast, please post up some update pics when you get after it.

Really bummed I don't see more of the new Z's on the road. They got the body style about perfect, I really like that color too. I've only seen one so far at a local dealership since they came out and of course they had a dealer markup of $20k on it at the time.

I've never sat in one. Are they short on head room or leg room? My '78 280z had a surprising amount of both for being such a small car, but I guess cars nowadays have way more stuff crammed into them.

I'm 6' 210 and I don't have the seat bottomed out by a fair bit. I'm not sure if you've sat in the new supra but if so, the Z feels about 30% more spacious inside. The ergonomics are really efficient and gobs of leg & head room. It's more spacious than a C8 (fantastic machine but the cramped C8 interior one of a few reasons we didn't target one). The closest thing would be the Jaguar F-Type.

@2515050 They are going for quite a bit less nowadays. In fact, its pretty common to grab them below MSRP without any haggling.

Mustangs fit well too.

I'm 6'2" 220 lbs and even have the Recaros. It is great. Super comfortable.

Very nice! I haven't been around a Supra but sounds like the Z is definitely the way to go especially if you far prefer the styling like I do. Good info on the pricing, I'll have to do some looking around and see what's out there.

Mustangs are pretty hard to beat, I loved my 2014 5.0. I just need the money and space to collect all the new cars I want without having to get rid of the old ones:crackup:

I'm 6'5'' and I can get in it but no way I can drive one. It is short on leg room. My knees hit the steering wheel and that is with the wheel adjusted every possible way and the seat all the way back and down.

I was really disappointed when I sat in one. They are really cool cars.

I ended up ordering a 24 Mustang with Recaros.
