Last eve was the first time I'd driven this truck in meaningful fog.

I was underwhelmed and had to hit the switch a couple times, just to make sure I was turning them on. I was.

Far as I know, they're the LEDs, as the light is bright white and come on directionally, when making a sharp turn, which I like very much.

In auto mode, when the high beams come on, they go off but come back on, when low beams, kick back on.

But also in auto mode, the high beams came on once while the fog was dense and had to hit the manual lever selector to return to low beams. That must over ride auto, because they stayed that way the rest of the trip. Which is fine.

The function is fine. The underwhelming part, is the reach. As mentioned, it was actually kinda hard to tell that they were even on. A slight extra bit lighting to the side, is other than the indictor on the dash, all that was noticeable and barely at that.

I absolutely agree with you. You can change the module coding in FORscan to allow your fog lights on with high beams. Aka Bambi mode. But the fog lights are very underwhelming. Disappointing to say the least. But the Lariat dynamic bending headlights are fantastic.

They have a height adjustment to bring them up to a usable level 🙂

Cool! I knew the headlights do but didn't know the fogs were adjustable.

Same type mechanism? What do I look for?

I don't have the full bending lights. That was 502A vs. 501A but the fogs turn on directionally, during a sharp turn. A half measure I guess but I'll take it.

Yeah, once properly aimed the the fogs are great. Takes a few minutes with a 10mm socket if I recall correctly. Don't even need to take your front wheels off.

Thanks a bunch guys.

Didn't set a timer but I'd agree with those who mentioned 30 mins. Maybe less.

I did remove the 2, 7mm screws (makes it much easier) and was able to do it all from my brake seat, with a 10mm. No tire turning, or anything else needed.

A couple in the other thread, mentioned less adjustment available on the passenger side, so started there. Raised until it lost thread, then tightened it one full turn. So, ~4 full turns? Raised the other to match. That one was tight enough that it needed the ratchet but just barely.

I'm sure its better and will test soon.

They’re completely worthless. Even when cornering do absolutely nothing.

maybe I need to try the adjustment…

They are technically driving lights, not fog lights.

Mine were aimed straight down. Took like 4 full turns to bring them up to work.

From underwhelmed, to pleased. Now I know why they call it Bambi mode. Thanks again.
