Anyone want to try this next time and report back whether it resets/clears the issue?
Certainly easier than disconnecting both batteries for a sure reset.

Before I start whining about the recent episode, let me ask a couple questions before a way too long post.

I'm game to try unplugging a cable the next time this happens. A couple of questions first. It looks like the cable is to the lower left of the two pipes. First, how does the connector disconnect? There's always a trick to make it easy. Some of them aren't obvious. I don't want to damage it and have the dealership tell me I am causing my problems. Second, what does that cable connect to? Is it just supplying power or also involved with networking. Onto the whining...

It's happened again. Did a bunch of typical city, stop and go driving the other day, maybe 2 hours split into the drive out and the way back. No probs either way. The next morning, I got the 'ole "Full Accessory Power On" and "Stop Safely Now" messages when attempting to start the truck. 4th time since purchase on July 6, but the first since the dealership took care of things mentioned earlier in this thread. Felt lucky, and tried again a couple hours later and it started up with no check engine light. I use Eco mode 100% of the time.

Funny thing happened on the drive out after the restart. I was on a local expressway with cruise control set. It was perfectly sunny and dry outside that morning. Got a message that the front camera was not working, followed by another message saying the emergency driver assistance not available (I couldn't capture exact messages.) A bit later on the drive, a warning chime sounded for maybe 10 seconds and then stopped. The camera worked fine the next day, and neither of these two weird things have happened since.

Been an F-150 owner for 26 years. You know, I really like this truck- when this nonsense isn't happening. I waited for a '23 Lariat PB when hopefully bugs were worked out. Do Prius owner deal with this? Anyway, I was watching the Formula 1 race a week ago and started to laugh. Isn't Ford going to be working with the Red Bull team on engines in the near future? F1 cars are hybrids. It will be fun to watch races using the in-car views when "Full Accessory Power On" and "Stop Safely Messages" appear on the steering wheel screen.

The plug pictured is the low voltage connector to the HV traction motor inverter

The harness connector has a white plastic locking lever.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve had a “stop safely now“ stranding event, however, one occurred this morning when I was trying to go to work and drop off the kids. I ended up trying the power cycle several times, lock and unlock the doors, to no avail. Eventually I tried the sport mode trick, this worked. Total stranding time, less than five minutes! Luckily, I was able to capture the error codes and have attached the pictures. Any advice?

Thanks for the update.

So are you gonna hold out for a software fix?
Or let your dealership park it in a back lot for a couple of months and lemon it?

That can be a very expensive 5 minutes for some. Or not. ?

Think I’ll wait, it’s not worth going through the hassle to Lemon the car. Love the truck overall, just don’t 100% trust it. Now, if this happened regularly and there was no fix in sight, my opinion would probably be different.

Should I bother taking it to the dealer with the pics and codes? Or is that a waste of time?

I do not believe there is a single thing that they (dealership) could do to address the issue.
I think the only choice we have is to use our collective work-arounds until that magical OTA comes along?

Hopefully you go "quite a while" again without another momentary fit. :)
Who knows? It might even be the last time for you if Ford gets their fix in Q4

How to fix: turn off, lock door, allow console to go to sleep. Press hazard button. Allow 3 clicks, press hazards again to turn off. Press brake, start truck. Drive away.

I tried locking doors, letting everything go to sleep. Tried remote start on phone, start via FOB; didn’t work.

The sport mode trick is putting the truck into full accessory power mode (press the ignition button without depressing the brake). Once the truck is in accessory power, you set the driving mode to “Sport mode”. It fired right up.

I read that it works for some people. My next step was to disconnect the batteries, but luckily that wasn’t necessary…. At least this time haha.
