I just received “The Call” from my dealer telling me my truck has arrived. They are prepping it for me to pick it up later today. It’s a fully loaded KR PB. Only option I passed on was the 7kW generator (Got 2.4kW) Under seat storage was more important. My truck had on it all the thought to be delayed items, bed cover, wheel well liners and spray in bed liner.
Blend Date was 2/24, Build Date 2/25, original delivery 3/15, then changed to 3/10 actual delivery today…3/3. Built in Dearborn.
Congrats!! I'm still waiting on my KR PB built in January but finally on a train.

I don't know if this is a big deal or not, but the underseat storage is fully compatible on all PB generator options. You only have a giant inverter under the 60% rear seat on all gas engine 2kW propowers. We (powerboost owners) all get the free cubby space under the 60% seat, plus the option of the fold flat storage whether 2.4kW or 7.2kW. I don't know if your dealer misinformed you or what happened there.

All trucks have the 400W inverter under the 40% seat still. (if you have outlets)

I may have been misinformed from my dealer. They showed me a picture of the permanent space under the 60% seat consumed by the converter. I bought the foldout storage too. I’m perfectly fine without the 7kW. Not sure I would ever make use of it. Appreciate you clearing this up for me.

Yeah, nice surprise to know you get the "jacket cubby" as I call it. I store my rain, fleece, and windbreaker jackets all in there. Never know what the situation calls for!

Feel bad for the guys who got bumped from this week, asked my dealer about the delay. Said he called in a favour to keep my truck on schedule. Currently on a rail car up to me in Canada

Hahahha I think he wants to SOUND like he did you a favor so you owe him gratitude.... I don't think dealers have any power in this to push any given truck through the lines. I think he checked the system, saw yours was on track, and told you that it was thanks to his excellent service.

You're 100 percent right, lol. Just happens my truck was being built in Dearborn instead of Kansas.

That is a very nice looking King Ranch build. I was really on the fence between the King Ranch & Platinum. It’s a tough choice.
Final delivery update. Truck arrived on 3/3 and I picked it up on 3/5. Have Only driven about 40 miles since me picking it up yesterday. Will say I’m very pleased with the overall fit and feel of the truck. Once I get some more time behind the wheel I will be able to report back on how it compares to the 2017 KR I traded in.

Just out of curiosity, did this week start to see improvements on the rear end rust? Anyone look? Curious what I should expect.

Excited for all who had their trucks built the week of 2/22 and took delivery already. I was given some false hope when I saw mine had been built on 2/24 and would arrive at my dealer by 3/8 according to the tracker and my dealer. I knew something was up when I saw the tracker this morning (3/6) still say awaiting shipment- I live in MD which isn’t terribly far from Detroit but no way it would make it by 3/8 if it weren’t on a train already. Checked back tonight and tracker now says 3/18 estimated delivery. Seems I am stuck like many from this week in the dreaded “awaiting shipment” stage. Curious if anybody else’s trackers have updated to show a new eta further out? Looking forward to knowing when this thing finally makes it on a train.

Mine was built 2/24, and was estimated to be delivered on 3/6. (Today!!). But it's still awaiting shipment and the ETA date has not updated yet. ?

Mine was “built” on 2/23; and has been shipped; however I thought it seems weird that it’s on a physical train for like 2 weeks to go from Dearborn to KC. I wouldn’t have guessed that.

Mine's sitting there with yours waiting on a train. Built 2/21 and Spray In Bedliner done and back 2/25 and been awaiting shipment since.

The tracker is pretty crude; shipping appears pretty random. Mine was built 2/26, the tracker showed estimated 19 day shipment (3/16) and estimated 3/28 delivery.
The truck arrived at the dealers yesterday morning 3/5! One week from build date to dealer, Dearborn to Minneapolis. The tracker updated today......

Your dealer can track the truck on the train if you pester them, I did not and we were all surprised.

I finally was able to get my dealer to send me the update on my truck only to see that it was for someone else’s truck. Talk about disappointment! Still has not sent me the right one.
