Just did my first oil change on the new to me '21 PB with ~48k miles....noticed the diaper was missing.

I do like the idea of a cover protecting the cats and that area in general, but I can't justify a $200-$400 skid plate that also decreases the already low PB payload.

Short of ordering the garbage felt diaper from Ford, what options are there for plastic covers?

I have a low Payload 1323 lbs Platinum 2021 PB. I went with the raptor steel skid plate. It was only a few more pounds then the fiber one. I think the steel one weighs 20 lbs. It cost me like $150 total. It has already save my transmission plastic pan after hitting something on the interstate last year.

From my post in May 2023 on FB:
Skid Plate Installation Completed. 2021 Job2 PB. Took the fiberboard off and replaced it yesterday with the Raptor steel skid plate. Took about 1 hour. Below are my installation pics. The only real challenge was the coolant lines on the passenger side. Used a thin brass nut and put in on the upper front mounting bolt. Had to remove the rear coolant mounting bracket also during installation. Mounted the skid plate rear bolts first and left them loose, then got the front bolts started so it would hold it up. Held the front coolant lines bracket out of the way with a bungee cord while I added the nut and got the bolt started. I bent the upper support mounting front arm just a little so I could get more clearance for the line so it would not rub on the bolt head. The drivers side was very easy, just added the nut and bolt. Took the truck for a test drive and the noise level change really didn't change (I heard some aftermarket skid plates make the truck exhaust louder inside the cab). Overall very happy with it. My total cost was around $130. Part was on sale, got $20 off new account and FedEx free shipping. I did this because I didn't want the catalytic converters stolen and now its a real skid plate to protect the truck in case I run over something in the road while towing my TT. I figure this "steel" skid plate should force the cat thieves to just move on to the next easier F150. FORD should have put this on the truck. FX4 package and fiberboard is a joke..
Skid Plate: HL3Z-7222-E - Cost $102.00 after sales price and got $20 off Plus Free Shipping.....

Radiator Support Splash Shield. Cover - Front, Rear.
If you have the FX4 fiberboard all you need are 2 bolts and nuts (Front mounting points)

W716831-S439 Lower Hinge Mount Bolt $1.67 (2)

I see people dragging their f150 "diaper" around daily. I guess they can't hear it dragging or don't care

FYI- I took a pic of it on my scale when I got it and it is 20.0 lbs.

Must be removed for oil change?

Or would a fumoto value with hose be accessible without removal?
