The automotive press seems to be making a pretty big deal of this. I welcome it - we don't need no 4WD in the South (in general). I'd love if they started offering the PowerBoost in 2WD again. Otherwise I may never be able to replace my '21 Lariat PowerBoost 2WD.

The press isn't quite right though. Up to '23 they were offering King Ranches in 2WD.

Grrrr thats what i wanted but was stuck between the 2wd ever coming back in powerboost and not having the avalanche color. Obviously went with the color choice and had to take the 4wd

I love watching the boat ramp videos of people in south that can get up a wet boat ramp with there 2wd trucks … For the entertainment alone I want that option … not that Canada will get them…

I assume you mean can't get up? I've been involved in numerous boat retrievals at a Florida ramp with RWD or FWD and a ~5,000 lb rig and never had a problem. Don't need the extra weight and maintenance of 4WD.

Thats usually due to algae and all that crap that builds along the edge of the water.....a properly maintained ramp with not give any issues. Cant imagine they are all maintained the same way jist depends on state and county. But yeah hate to be in that situation or anything similar with a 2wd and have to say "shoulda gotten the 4wd" as ur truck floats on the edge of the lake

I have always had 2wd trucks. Never had an issue. Was forced into a 4wd because of the PB. Would have gladly gotten a 2wd if available.

I had a 23 Lariat 2wd and 2.7 eco, when I bought my 25 Lariat it had to be 4wd and a 3.5 I went with the power boost and thought I was going to get amazing mpg I did a lot better with the 2.7. I hope the 27 Lariat will offer 2wd and 2,7. I live in the south and have never needed 4wd. I just hope my current truck holds a decent trade in value

Yep, thats what kept me from buying a 25, no 2WD in Lariat and up! So I bought a 21 Platinum in March and now have a decision to make!

They also deleted so many features i dont know what else they can take away and still call it a Lariat. I am glad they opened their eyes and listened to the buyer now I just wish I waited one more year

I have noticed my 2 Wheel Dr. regular cab truck turns tighter than my four-wheel-drive super cab truck. They are about the same wheelbase.
