Everytime I start up the recirculation button is lit and stays on for a long time.
Is this working as designed?
No auto settings since it is a work truck trim level. Love the truck.
Thank you

That is the way my 501a Lariat behaves. I brought it up with the dealer and they said it was "normal",,,

My XL does that too, but not 100% of the time. Not owned it long enough figure out what triggers it and what doesn't. Seem autostart always does it at least.

But there is the MAX semi-auto setting, which isn't super intuitive to figure out. But basically if you have it on say mid fan speed, mid hot/cold, and face only vents, if you turn it all the way to Max until you feel a click and the dial bounces back, then it changes to resuculating air, full cold, and alters the vent settings. Most probably figured this one out already.

But there is an additional feature, if you click it to Max again a second time, without changing any settings first, , it goes back to the previous settings. So no need to manually set fan speed/hot/cold, recirc off, and vent settings. It's all done in one click.

But here's the rub, SOMETIMES it still keeps the resirc on. But still alot less futzing. The autostart seems to choose any one of these settings. But just owned it for a few weeks so maybe there's still some intricacies I haven't figured out.

I do love it either way, super comfy seats, I got the silver vinyl ones to match the silver paint, comfy suspension, at least up front, lots of power, just a delight really.

On the sync screen menus there are 2 options to select regarding the AC/heat during remote start. You can select last settings at shutdown or automatic. So maybe it’s this if you are remote starting it.

I think I set it to automatic. But it's not clear to me which result or setting the automatic actually picks. Full cool? Or full heat? Somewhat cool? Neither? Is it temperature based? So far its only been hot here in Texas since it got it.
