I will definitely help out any way I can, you helped me with your post.

I took some pictures of how the lines look.

Also the mirrors that show up for our year are the ones for 21-23 ML3Z-17696-DA.

I had even searched by the vin when I ordered the tow mirrors from Fairway ford.

Thank you. I can tell from the picture that your view is way better than mine. Even without the parking lot lines. My 360 view almost looks overlapped in the corners and all parking lot lines are double. Driving me insane. Every time I go in reverse I am reminded.

Wow that sucks. Have you tried to recalibrate it yourself with forscan. Or put the factory mirrors back on with the original cameras and take it to the dealer for them to fix.

Oh yes this has been an ordeal that lasted for several months.... I purchased the mirrors from the same dealership that I purchased the truck. When they were doing some warranty work they were supposed to install them and calibrate them for me. Long story short my truck sat there for a week after the warranty repairs were made. When I called out the manager he basically told me that they couldn't help me.

From there I decided to swap out the cameras and install the mirrors myself. As you know it is extremely straightforward. Even then the parking lot lines weren't perfect, but I would give anything to go back. My picture looked as good as yours.

I took my truck to another dealership and unfortunately it got much worse. They agreed to keep the truck for a day and again even with foescan it didn't get any better. They reached out to Ford and the dealership was told hey those didn't come on that truck we can't help you.

The 2nd dealership manager offered to reinstall my OEM mirrors and and fix the ipma. For a little while everything was flawless. Then one day I noticed the parking lot lines were off again. I said screw it I want the tow mirrors on the truck if the lines are going to be off they can be off with the tow mirrors installed.

That's when I got a third dealership involved and found out that they were having the same issue. Not every truck after the tow mirror swap looks the same. Some are worse. @Jesse-Infotainment offered to remote in and he did fix a lot of things. I am very grateful of that. After that I found a parking lot with long white lines and did the calibration process twice. It improved but nowhere near where it should be.

I have made several attempts to try to remove the split screen. I have gone into forscan with help from another member and I'm not able to do it. The dealership has offered to attempt to remove the split screen like the older gens were able to.

I've been told by several dealerships that it's a known issue. People are getting into accidents and they're unable to calibrate. I don't know if they are full of beans or what. At this point removing double screen would be fantastic also, I don't know if there's a way to go back to the day I pulled off the lot. I truly believe there's some bad values or something. That second dealership did something and now nobody can reverse it. But with all that being said I really don't understand how the modules work so I'm just guessing at this point.

What makes matters worse is there was a truck there with Tow Mirrors, but I wanted the 20 inch wheels. Thinking the tow mirrors like a lot of us would be an easy 20 minute job. Now that I'm lifting my vehicle and installing new upper control arms I have to purchase Wheels with more backspace.

In the summer I hired a guy to see if we could figure out how to add a heated steering. I called him a while back and he won't touch the tow mirror camera debacle. Again claiming there is an issue.

At some point I will find a better parking lot and attempt to calibrate I'm hoping maybe just one day I get lucky. Jesse said he could figure it out, but we don't live close to each other at all. So unfortunately I think an incompetent dealership screwed up my ipma and now it is what it is.

Oh and there's one more theory. That the issue isn't in the ipma it's actually in the screen. Forgive me I can't think of the name of the module that controls the screen.

That sucks man, hopefully you are able to get it all squared away soon. Is it the APIM that controls the screen? Also, doesn’t Jessie have the ability to remote into your computer to assist? Let me know if I can help.

Yes the APIM. Couldn't think of the abbreviation. He did it once already and definitely made some improvements. Thanks!

I wanted to follow up. I was able to install the mirrors successfully. I installed my 24' cameras into the 21'-23 tow mirrors. After the install the cameras looked no different on the screen. No issues at all. After work today the dealership confirmed the cameras are working fine and require no calibration.

I spoke with my service department about the marker lights and forscan. Thanks to this forum I found the new value. After a couple you tube videos I was able to find where to enter the value.

After my reward points and a generous discount from my dealership the mirrors only cost $446. OBD link EX was $60. Not as inexpensive as Ford would have charged, but considering the situation not too bad.

I considered power fold and power telescope but I was well over $1000 plus chrome delete. At this time just not worth it.

Yes so you need to remove the mirrors very carefully. Now I was told to place painters tape over them. If there's any uneven pressure they will crack. Not going to lie I've cracked one before. As you may or may not notice yet the tow mirrors are extremely easy. They sell a tool. If you're able to get your whole hand under and press evenly they pop out pretty easily. For me this was the most stressful part of the whole swap.

I just installed the 21-23 tow mirrors power fold, power telescoping, blis camera etc. All working except cameras. The powerfold ill set up once I received the new window switch.

So you just have to swap out the cameras and you'll be good. You need to install the cameras that came with your 24' in those tow mirrors.

There are little notches in the cameras so just pay attention to left and right and you'll be able to tell how they go in. I would do one at a time.

Awesome thanks. The forscan value for the marker lights is the ones posted on page 2 correct? No other forscan to program?
