FWIW here's my '22 Lariat 4x4 Max Tow (full description in my sig block) with the 1.25" non-tapered (measured) OE spacer blocks removed and 1.25" shorter 2WD bump stops installed (retains full suspension travel). Truck has no front lift/lowering, stock suspension height with Billstein 5100s..

The result was still not quite 'level' (still a slight forward slope at the bed rail) with no load. Measured pinion angle is actually slightly reduced from OE.

I tow a 5500# GTWR 5th-wheel RV with ~750# pin weight (per CAT Scale) + ~100# total hitch assembly weight and with that both the trailer and truck settle nicely to 'level' (which was the reason for the block removal, previously the trailer ran slightly nose-high with the hitch in the lowest position).

I track mileage based on odometer-miles/fill-gallons at every fill-up since new. There has been no measurable impact on my average MPG (~4k miles before mod; ~9k miles after).

For my use both daily-driving and towing there's absolutely no downside in removing the spacer blocks. Yes, I expect that if I ever loaded it to the max payload there might be some slight 'reverse squat', but that's not going to happen in my use.

(Pics are obviously not on perfectly level ground but I was on a level-slab when doing the mod and taking all of the mentioned measurements using a digital level)

  • ML3Z*5705*A x4 (2WD U-bolts, 2 each side = 4 total)
  • ML3Z*4730*A x2 (2WD bump stops)
  • I re-used OE U-bolt nuts & bump stop bolts which are the same length for all stops (the integral metal base is the same, the 'rubbe'r is different length)
  • standard Lock-Tite 'blue'

Thanks was thinking the U bolts were two in pack.

24 King Ranch with blocks removed on 305/45 22's. Dang near exactly what you are looking at! I like a tiny bit of rake but not that wild amount from the factory! It was 10 minutes on mine to remove, no complaints issues or anything else. Did the same on mu 19 and if I replace this I will do the same on that.

Yep I hate the rack and don't tow.
You don't have to replace boots and U bolts on the 2024?

I just refused my factory parts. I know that u bolts are torque to yield, but I had zero issues on my other truck and the majority of people who do this reuse components as well without issue. To each their own. I do 100% of driving on the street and have never towed anything. I am not at all concerned about what's on the truck.

I just removed the blocks on my 24 Powerboost XLT. Call me crazy but it seems as if there is CONSIDERABLY less body roll with these out.

Truck does still have a 1.5” rake. Front measures 37.5 while the rear is 39.

Did this to see how it looked and if it would handle any different. Need to drive more, but it seems as if there is certainly a difference

Off topic, sorry.

That antimatter-stone has to be one of the best two-tone color options I've ever seen. I've seen antimatter pickups and they are ok, but I really like yours!

My Kodiak-stone looks good, but it has to catch the light correctly or else it just looks black, other than that, I love it.

Thank you! I love the combo as well. It still looks black at night and on overcast days but if the sun is out holy crap

For those that have removed the rear block, can you confirm everyone is sitting around 37” in the front and 39.5” in the rear?

I have a 2024 Lariat that I want to remove the rear block. I am debating putting a 1.5” or 2” front spacer to get it to sit level and put on some 285/65/20 AT tires.

I feel like this would fill the wheel well better than doing a ~2.5” spacer in the front to get it closer to level to the factory rear.

That’s what my Powerboost measures, you need pics of the tape?

Pic of the tape from ground to finder with a plum level!

Thanks for confirming, will do this shortly after Christmas and post pics.

I’m actually contemplating reinstalling. For me, it was more about seeing how it would change handling. Certainly less body roll, quite an amazing difference from just removing the blocks.

I have a RSB coming, it’s backordered due to the Black Friday sales
