Hey what kind of alarm does the 2024 f150 have? Does it have a immobilizer when tripped? This will be my first ford product, not really familiar with ford oem alarms. Thanks

This is my understanding of the security on these trucks...

Basic ... truck doesn't read the fob... no start or if running, can't put it into gear. If locked, with fob, truck will alarm when door opened and you get a message on your Ford Pass app. Locking with door lock button or key pad, doesn't set the alarm.

Alarm will set as long as truck is locked.
I've set it off before and almost never use fob to lock it.

I haven't tested mine for a couple of years, but then it needed the fob to lock and arm. I locked the truck with 1st try the door lock button and 2nd try keypad. Window was open, reached in and opened the door. No alarm. Key fob was in the house. Got the fob, locked the truck, fob in the house went out a open the door, alarm triggered.

I will test again. May have be updated over the last couple of years byan OTA or whenI used FDRS. I don't know what module that would be in...BCM maybe?

There is a wait before alarm turns on when not using fob.
I think someone said 15 minutes on a forum post. ?‍♂

Has anyone attempted to start the truck with the alarm activated? See if it starts.

If a fob is present in the vehicle it will start. What's something you could test it to lock your spare fob in the truck w/ the window down and then reach in and see if it starts after 30m or so. Should go without saying to not let it out of your sight in those 30 minutes if you don't have it in a closed garage.

I have left it for over an hour with the fob in the truck unlocked and just opened a front door without it getting mad. Other times I've left it sitting w/ fob in building and opened a rear door and it started a countdown that the alarm was active and about to go off if I didn't get the key real quick.

I was thinking having an actual key to insert on the ignition and having the alarm go off and see if it starts. I'm also guessing that the 2024 doesn't have the perimeter plus security from factory.

A valid key will immediately turn off the alarm when starting truck.

Valid key should kill the alarm unlocking the door too.
