I’m new on this blog but haven’t found a similar thread. I have a 2024 F150 XLT with 302a package. Less than 2 months old 500miles and the back up sensors have gone bad. Took it to the local dealer for service and they determined the sensors are bad. New sensors arrived but were for mis-tagged and actually were for an Excursion. Reordered but no idea when they will be received and it’s now been over 2 weeks with no update. Anybody else have this issue with their sensors? Is this the way the New Ford supports its customers? I’ve owned several Fords in the past, 89 F150, 99 F250 diesel, 02 F250 diesel. Never had this lack of support. I understand that machines break sometimes but I’m more concerned with the lack of product support than the failure. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get Ford to expedite service from their suppliers? Starting to get doubts about the future of this truck.
Would appreciate any help.

Unfortunately, customer service in all sectors has been declining for many years and I don't see that changing anytime soon. While certainly not an ideal situation, just know that others have waited for months or even years on parts to repair their vehicles due to supply chain issues. Hopefully, after the new sensors arrive and are installed, you will have years of trouble free driving.

Sounds like you need a new dealer.

2024 F150 XLT Back up sensor update.
Sorry, been off line for a while. Good news, bad news.
New sensors received last week. Problem persisted. Service advisor says it is now a programming issue. Update this morning; Multiple reprogramming attempts have failed to fix the problem. They keep trying. This truck has been at the dealer repair lot longer than my garage since purchased 6 weeks ago.

I'll send you the truck VIN later this afternoon when I review my purchase documents. Truck is still at the dealer for repairs.

Had backup sensor issues at approximately 60 miles. Thought it was resolved. Started back up this week at approximately 4300 miles. Also getting pre collision assist warnings as I drive around. Extremely frustrating to say the least. I am on dealership number 2. Purchasing dealer making excuses. Should see my service records... You would think I have owned it for years.

+1... I just started experiencing a problem with my new 2024 XLT rear sensors.

When I shift into R, a warning message comes up saying rear parking sensors are not available - sensor blocked, check manual. Note, it did rain a little earlier today, probably the first rain since I've owned this truck.

Also, not sure if it's related, but my rear camera parking guide lines are no longer displaying. Any ideas?

Hi there, Steve. This rear sensor concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your F-150. Should you need further assistance, please send us a DM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer and I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end. To send a direct message, just click on our username and select "Send Direct Message".

Sounds like the exact issue I'm having.

Steve- were you able to get it resolved? Had the sensors just gone bad?

I got this error today. I had a 2013 F150. Never, even in pouring Texas Gulf Coast rain, had the message rear parking sensors are not available.

I have 4 other vehicles none of them have these Sensor not available errors.

Purchased new in December 2024 F150 XLT 302a FX4

Anyone ever get this issue resolved with Ford? My 2024 with 1,700 miles on it is now doing this. Took it to the dealership and they say they can’t replicate the problem so nothing they can do. I had a 2015 that acted up in the rain (this is not the same issue). Happens at the most random times!

Sorry for the delay. I did take it to my local Ford dealer here in Leavenworth KS and they resolved the issue under warranty. I think they replaced a couple of sensors and reset the system, no further incidence.

Glad you were able to get it resolved.

I was able to rub the sensor and it works now most of the time. Occasionally get phantom collision alerts and notice that certain functionality is not available. The dealer tried to tell me that it’s not a warranty issue, so they wouldn’t fix it without $$$$. Pretty frustrating.
