2024 F-150 Lariat 5.0L V8 Black Appearance Package

Hope I’m posting in the right forum! I just purchased a new 2024 F-150 Lariat 5.0L V8 with the Black Appearance Package. I absolutely love the truck. I would consider myself very much an amateur and novice when it comes to understanding all things related to engines, exhaust, etc. With that being the case, I’m noticing that the sound produced by the V8 with the dual exhaust is much different than I’m used to! Don’t think I’ve ever had a truck with dual exhaust or a truck that made this particular sound. I haven’t decided yet if I will get used to it. After a while I may love it! If for some reason I decide I like things a bit quieter, do I have any options? Thanks!

To clarify….anything I can do aftermarket to make it quieter. Definitely not get rid of the truck!

Not a lot of "aftermarket" options, if any to make it quieter.

However, you can get an exhaust shop to add in an additional resonator perhaps.

I wouldn't just add a "resonator" -- you need to see what frequency you're trying to snuff out and get one tuned accordingly.

Give yourself some time with the truck -- I'll bet you get to like that sound.

I wonder if you are hearing the cylinder deactivation. It typically activates when you are maintaining a consistent speed on flat/level road.

Give it time, your future thread will be asking which aftermarket exhaust to add.
Don't tame a 5.0, unleash it.

Congrats on your new ride! I have a 21 Plati with a 5.0L and single exhaust. I would absolutely love the dual exhaust and growl! I feel like my 5.0 struggles between speeds. Not sure if there's something wrong with my module or trans.

I am currently negotiating on the same model. I LOVE the sound. One of the reasons the black package appeals to me, among other things. Carbonized Gray, black package, and FX4 has me excited. I will probably buy it but I have to haggle, lol.
